The only reason I mentioned that Swift/Curry deal is because that is believed to be a possible deal.

I figure that Duhon will head to Europe for a season. THey have several PG's already on the roster. Unless they deal Frank Williams (Atlanta, HELLO!), I think Duhon would be starving for PT in Chi-town and would be better suited getting good minutes in Europe. I do agree that they should waive Trybanski, and depending on what kind of team they field, Pippen may decide to give it another go.

            YES!!!

I'm so happy. This solves our last glaring problem...the back-up center. He's the PERFECT solution. Mutumbo's a seasoned veteran, plus, there aren't many "true centers" in the league anymore... we now have two. I'm liking the Rockets chances. Sure he's old, but that's why he's our back up. Good move by Dawson.

            Charlie Ward
            Tracy McGrady
            Jim Jackson
            Juwan Howard
            Yao Ming

            You gotta love that.

thats a pretty good starting 5...ward can give you 30 min...mac 40+...jim 30+...juwan 30-35...depending on how tired yao is 35-42

a decent bench...they should be able to compete for a first round HCA

if mutombo wanted to leave then that's fine, but if not, that would not be a great move. I don't know about Eric P., I mean he's a great shooter, but can he be consistent and be a veteran leader?

who needs veteran leadership, when you got TMAC BABY!!!!

but the trade depends on how much PT houston will give mt. mutombo

cant trade 3 servicable players for him, then not play him

Mutombo will play a decent amount of time. 10-12 minutes is enough to give Yao sufficent rest. Those traded players wouldn't have seen much if any amount of PT. EP was already in JVG's doghouse last year.

This is huge, and may keep a team like Dallas or Denver out of the playoffs. What a stacked division. They could be their own conference.
