    In game video comparisions...

I figured there needs to be one thread that compares all 3 based on the videos.

NBA Live... Jeez I thought I was watching the game in fast foward. Just bringing the ball up the court the guys were going sooo fast. The layup by Pierce was nice, I figured the reply would show it in slow motion or something, but it looked ******** cause he did it all so fast. All the cross over moves were over done.

Inside Drive, slow pacing which actually seemed to flow well, player movement seemed good. The passing seemed really bad though in the videos there was one that was from the 3 pt line all the way across the key to the opposite post everyone just watched it go slowly across the screen. Then in the other video there was a drive and a pass right through the defender to Shaq for the dunk.

NBA 2K3. Looked and flowed well. Seemed to have a wide variety of post moves. The reply seemed kinda of silly, it might look better for a nice dunk, but having it on what looked like a drop step into a half fake then jump shot didn't look really good.

Obviously no game will be perfect but I am going with 2k3, based on what I have seen and read here. Everyone else post your comments on all 3.

I thought the crossovers in Live were really good. Of course, you have to consider the fact that the USER will determine what crossover is going to be performed, and if he tries a fancy crossover, in a higher difficulty, it should get poked away if the user's careless. I'm hoping the AI doesn't use the crossover too often and generally seeks to penetrate using its speed more than doing crossovers. NBA 2k3 looked great. Also, since there ARE sliders in ID 2003, whatever you find wrong with the game can be adjusted, so it's probably not that big a deal to see that kind of pass happen (since you can probably change it so that that kind of pass won't happen in the game)

Nets I agree w/ you about Live's tempo... it just seems too fast, on the vid, i noticed that the cpu would always push the ball up teh court when they rip a board... the pace seems too quick

        Well. my opinion:

        b-ball simulation:

        1st: NBA 2K2 2nd: NBA ID 2003 3rd: NBA Live 2003

        most excited with the gameplay:

        1st: NBA Live 2003 2nd:NBA 2K3 3rd: NBA ID 2003

Well. i think the big 3 are all great to play. NBA 2K3 has the most realistic gameplay, just like in the real life. But i think i prefer Live 2003, bcuz the moves and the layups and the dunks in live2003 are so carzy!! It drives you carzy when you playing the game. It's a pity that these two movies didn't show the advantages of freestyle control. I am definitely going to get Live and 2K3. ID 2003? If i am getting bored with the other 2, i will rent it.

Generally, 2K3 is the best for people who wants to play simulation game. Live2003 is the best for people who wants to be carzy and excited(Because of the fast gameplay, it's not so bad ). For me, i am the one who wants to be carzy...

          Live:
Them little burgers sure move fast. That is ok because the flow of the game appears more realistic and the free style is off the hook and so smooth. Gameplay (yet to be determined)?

          NBA2K3:

Love the look of the game. The game always has solid gameplay and the basketball knowledge of the AI is good. Slower than Live and allows for good half court game. Players are very stiff looking in their movements.

          ID2003:

Looks alot like last year. I did notice Horry fronting in the post and Kidd coming off a screen for the lay up that looked really nice. Nothing "dazzling" like the other two just improved over last years version.
I have all three ready to be picked up at my local EB once released. I am prepared for any of my boys to come and get an a$$ whoopin..
