Plain and simple "that guy" is a cheating liar who wants to buy away his responsibility to his unfair actions of physical abuse to this young woman. He deserves no sympathy in this. He should be ashamed of himself, his wife's parents should have taught her better than to take this ring as penance for her pride. And shame on Mackey for unabashedly making things up for the sake of an abusive and lying prima dona who takes what he wants and even now will try and hide the truth instead of facing it.

When he was questioned by two police officers in the parking lot of the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in the early morning of July 2, 2003, Bryant, after first denying an encounter took place, admitted to "holding her around her neck from behind" and graphically described a series of sex acts he engaged in with his accuser.

Alright, he cheated. Not the first player, not the last.

But grabbing her throat from behind? That's just sick. And then trying to pay them to keep quiet.

Maybe if he was used to getting some back in H.S., he'd realize that all this really wasn't necessary. Freak.

Right, they made it all up. And we DO know that the evidence of the prosecution is now sealed because it would be damaging to Kobe.

We do know there is likely a settlement in place.
