Hate to call someone who was an all-star starter last year "underrated" but..

Only one other guard in the NBA other than Stephen Curry is scoring over 1 point per possession & using 20+ possession per game: Kyle Lowry.
— Synergy Sports Tech (@SynergySST) December 3, 2015

his name doesn't come up enough when people discuss top 5 point guards.

Only one other guard in the NBA other than Stephen Curry is scoring over 1 point per possession & using 20+ possession per game: Kyle Lowry.

I remember when Raptors first got him from Houston, underrated was the word people used about him the most. And now with the salary cap going up as much as it will, he has one of the biggest steal contracts in the league. 14M for 2 seasons(16-17,17-18) of Lowry in an era where every all star is likely getting max contracts.

Scoring wise, definitely top 5,maybe borderline top 5 overall. Look at something like effective FG%, Lowry .515 right now, Paul,Westbrook and Wall are all between .448-.505. Curry obviously, but also Paul and Westbrook are in top 5 for PGs. But I'd actually consider Lowry over Wall right now. Defensively,Wall with the slight edge, but offensively I'd put Lowry over Wall.

I'm curious why Jabari Parker isn't getting more minutes and coming off the bench.

              Lowry ain't messing with Wall.

The only thing that was holding Wall back from being in the Top 3-5 at his position much earlier was lack of reliable jumpshot and remaining healthy. Now he has/done both(to go with his ability to get to the rim with ease)and he's still young, the sky is the limit for him.

Respect to Porzingis. The big dude has been balling. I thought he was a really good pick but expected him to take far longer to adjust to the NBA.

I think Kobe musta been pissed at my Sixers game predictions. He went in on the Bullets, more importantly Randle with 19 boards. More of that please Julius.

Bullets, Wizards, whatever, I actually like Bullets better but I get it.

That team this year though, yikes. They are doing a fantastic job of being awful. Maybe it's their master plan of getting the #1 pick AND KD this summer.

They had a lot of turnover this off-season. Some key guys left from their second unit and some good spot-up shooters. Sessions is terrible and like Nene a black-hole offensively at long periods of time.

Plus, they still have the same problems as before with rotating smartly on defense and defensive rebounding.

Wall will definitely be better than Lowry is in the future.

Having said that, it's not unreasonable to say that right now Lowry has got the advantage over Wall. The top 3 PGs are set (Steph, Westbrook, Paul) but it's those 4th/5th spots that are hard to pin.

                                It's definitely close though.
