No they don't have forever, they have two years because that's what's left on his contract and it's not going anywhere. So unless they're trading Jimmy (not happening) to make that change to do something different we keep hearing about you're going to have to live with hoping they put it together with more time together.

Re: 12/8 - 12/14 Games Discussion Thread
Clippers have been in a position that if Chris Paul doesn't take over a game, or Blake Griffin doesn't take over a game they lose. They've had plenty of guys in and out, different lineups to work with and it just isn't happening.
Don't get me wrong, Chris and Blake both do a great job. But you shouldn't have to rely on a guy to have to carry you any time you expect to win games.
I'm almost convinced that maybe Doc isn't just that great of a coach. I don't really buy that they have been missing pieces. They've had shooters, defenders, athletes, they've filled those spots with anything you could ask for, other than a player who does all of those things. But that's basically adding another All Star, which is unreasonable at this point given what all they already have.
They've got the best passer and ball handler in the league, who's also a top 5 scoring guard and defending guard. Arguable the most well PF in the league, best passing and ball handing PF, can score as well as the top 10 scorers, rebounds well. Top 2 rebounder in the league, top 5 rim protector who also avoids fouls and plays big minutes, who despite his offensive limitations actually causes problems because you can leave him due to Blake/CP's lobs.. They've put shooters, defenders, athletes, veterans, shot creators, everything you could ask for around them.
I'm tired of hearing "they need this", Blake can't do this, Chris can't do this, Jordan can't do this.. I really believe that Doc is the issue here. Not that he's a bad coach, but he's not going to take this team to a ring and I believe they've been capable of doing so. They've had stretches of being the best offense in the league, best defense in the league, high level rebounding team, stretches of Chris scoring like crazy, assisting like crazy, managing tempo. They've shown they can do everything a team needs to be able to do.
Doc needs to be able to bring this group together. Regardless of what they are/aren't missing he needs to find something that fits what he DOES have. I'm tired of seeing all this "Clippers need this" they have what every team (other than maybe GS) would kill to have.

Knicks: bad pass, bad pass, bad pass, bad pass. Not giving the ball enough to Carmelo, not giving the ball at all to Porzingis.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

Re: 12/8 - 12/14 Games Discussion Thread
Well the Clippers roster isnt that great but yes Doc is a huge part of the problem.
The other thing is he plays favorites, so he plays huge minutes for sieves like Jamal Crawford and besides inconsistent rotations....
He's the GM. He's killed ALL of their flexibility, got rid of all of the young guys sans CJ Wilcox whom you probably don't even know is on the team because he has not gotten off the bench since being drafted.
You can throw Ballmer in there for not making a move to alleviate anything at all, and at this point Chris Paul is on the decline, and while Blake is improving, does he really want to waste his prime with this?Comment

Re: 12/8 - 12/14 Games Discussion Thread
Didn't hear him but he looked just like this
"Don't take a bad shot if its a bad shot"
"Pass the ball if you can pass the ball"
"you're on a team, you're on a team, you're on a team, and you're on a team too"
They come out and they have 29 points with half almost here.
Also I don't like Cousins consistency. He'll run the lane and dunk on a guy and you think this guy can be much more dominant, but he only does that stuff when he feels like it which isn't often.Comment

Honestly, from what I've seen Karl has been pushing the right buttons with him. That's not to say it couldn't all go to hell pretty quickly, but it looks okay right now.Comment
