I know alot of people want a dunk contest in a next gen basketball game. I tihnk it would be kinda hot tha first time but do you tihnk it would actually hold your attention for that long? Do you think its a needed feature ina game? Tha real dunk contest isnt even that good anymore. Tha last one I actually enjoyed was tha one with vince and b4 that who knows I cant even remember. So do you guys think developers should actually take time to implement a dunk contest?

yeah they need to make a whole all star weekend thing..and you can take a player from your team and have him enter in the 3-point shootout and the dunk contest...or if none of your players are good enough for the 3 point shootout and no one has finess in their dunking ability..u should be able to take control of one dunker in the contest even if he isnt on your team.
with the dunk contest i was thinking it be kinda boring becuse i mean ud see all the same dunks in the games already..so they should impliment the freestyle control mid air movements so u can create your own dunks ....this would be kick ***...that way in a dunk contest u can do all kinds of crazy stuff in mid air that way it wont be repetitive...plus u should be able to use that feature in a real game situation ..say if you were on a break away and want to show off ....

I think the dunk off in game would get boring after awhile. Remember the one in In The Zone, it was cool for a while but it got very repetitive after a while. It was no longer a contest between you and a friend, it became a contest between you and the controller.(The multiple combinations you had to press).

a dunk contest is the last thing needed in a game.....it would get very boring after a while....it would take a while for developers to incorperate this into a game....id rather see them get the gameplay and player models(tats..bands..ect) straight first because 2k3 is missing way too many tatoos this year....i wonder what happenComment

if they do have a dunk conest in a game, go back to the JORDAN VS. BIRD formula. giving you certain # of dunk your player is capable of performing, depending on their rating and fatigue, will determine weither you can perform the dunk. control schemes would very...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

It's not nessasary, but any extra features that you can put into a game are welcome. You can always ignore them if you don't like them, but it never seems to hurt to put too much into a game.Twitter:@Fetter21

If they put it in the game and it was garbage, everyone would tear it up and say why bother put something into the game if its not going to be good. Its a double edged sword if its great the ok, big deal cause it is only a side bar to the true game. If its not good then it was just wasted time and people bash it.Comment

That's the problem with the direction of the NBA game today. Too much emphasis on the dunk. No, what these games need to do is focus on getting the gameplay correct. From the look of the movie clips it looks like NBA Live is geared more to kids. The young baller of today is all about crossovers and dunks so I guess a dunk contest would appeal to that set. I am an "80's" hoop head so I would much rather see the developers devote more attention to more fundamental gameplay.Comment

A dunk contest would be a cool feature to put into a game, but it isn't necessary. It would probably get boring after a while, unless of course, like mentioned above, you could do something in mid-air to make a new dunk or something like that. If the added it in though, and didn
