The Wizards and Lakers are not expected to land a meeting with Kevin Durant, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.
Amick adds the Lakers "have a way of at least getting a meeting" based on their past, but it's not looking good. Both the Lakers and Wizards have spent some time hoping they would be able to land the former MVP, but at least now they can focus on other players and possibly make some signings while KD is making up his mind.Comment

I just want to see some teams in the East make some moves... but (and I saw a tweet pretty much saying this but I can't remember who sent it), most seem pretty well aware that the Cavs will be a juggernaut for a while, so they are content to build for the future. Maybe a Heat team with a healthy Dragic/Wade/Bosh/Whiteside core can give them a run for their money.
Some parity on this side of the conference would be nice, lol.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Cause he's a lying sack of ****. Talking about they didn't even know Jimmy was at the Bulls' facility on draft night. Jimmy was literally in the same building with Gar and Paxson the night of the draft. Local radio guys were doing their show from the Advocate Center (Bulls brand new practice facility) and watched Jimmy walking around.

But I do know for a fact that has never been his thing since that's not his personality. In case you were serious.#RespectTheCultureComment

And I'm curious as to why Durant wants to meet with the Clippers?

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
It was never reported by any of the media guys, but there was a rumor floating around that the Bucks and Kings had discussed something like Monroe and MCW for Gay and McLemore or something like that.

If he likes it there and Ainge can work the phones to flip several of his assets for another star or two, Durant doesn't join anyone's team, but becomes a member of a team Ainge put together ala Garnett and Allen with Pierce."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
