re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
According to the AP
The Miami Heat center says he wants to know who his next team is on Friday, the first day of this summer’s NBA free-agent period. Whiteside will have a series of meetings with teams that day, and the NBA’s blocked-shot leader last season wants to decide quickly.
Whiteside says the Heat are one of his options, but that loyalty to Miami won’t factor into his decision.
Not bad, Mr. Whiteside.#RespectTheCultureComment

Jeremy Lin:
During the World Economic Forum interview, Lin was asked if he'd consider a return to the Knicks, who will have at least $30 million to spend in free agency.
"It's not looking likely because they just traded for Derrick Rose," Lin said. "But I will say that ever since I left, I've always been open to going back and I still am. Never say never, that's the one thing in the NBA, never say never. So I've always been open, but right now, I'm not sure if it's the best timing. But if it happens, it happens."

Cause he's a lying sack of ****. Talking about they didn't even know Jimmy was at the Bulls' facility on draft night. Jimmy was literally in the same building with Gar and Paxson the night of the draft. Local radio guys were doing their show from the Advocate Center (Bulls brand new practice facility) and watched Jimmy walking around.

I don't agree with the way they are doing it but I'm not sure what they expect to get with just Butler and nobody else.
Didn't help that Noah said he didn't trust management, and now this... Gar was lying so hard it's not even funny.Comment

I feel like Whiteside fits miami so well that he should stay. Has wade mentoring him and getting him easy pts with lobs. Seems like that whole heat team has great chemistry on the court and super close. Plus if bosh is able to come back they are even better and can get him a little more looks with having to focus on bosh. But I wouldn't mind him in Portland

Whiteside is going to be so interesting lol. He's the physical embodiment of the part of you that knows what you would tell your boss if you hit the lottery and didn't need your job anymore.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Those USA men's national team jerseys are clean. I don't wear sports apparel at all anymore but would consider grabbing one if a Celtics player were selected.
Related: Odd the jerseys haven't launched online for sale yet.
Edit - They look thinner than your standard NBA jersey. I wonder if that will become the norm when Nike takes over in 2017.Last edited by areobee401; 06-27-2016, 09:40 AM.Comment

re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
So Serge Ibaka's agent says the Thunder promised a bigger role for Serge and didn't deliver.
More specifically he said "there was an expectation of a larger role. It was overpromised and under-delivered. Everyone should be held to the same level of accountability across the board."
That last part sure sounds like there's an issue with the treatment of players not named Westbrook and Durant?
