AND y'all guaranteed all 4 years? Why?

A 2 year deal would've made more sense for both since its protects y'all from making a long term commitment.

Should have known better than to allow myself to believe Horford would sign with us last night. Free Agents never sign here. Yet there I was refreshing Twitter all night waitng for a Woj Bomb.

              Same thing here..

It will be okay though. I'm sure we can grab Kris Humpries or someone like that.

I actually like the Luol pickup. Lakers needed a veteran and some who can play perimeter defense. He can even move to the four on some games.

I don't get it. The dude used econ terms when he didn't need to, but he basically said guys get paid because teams have to pay someone, not because they deserve to be paid. The scarcity of decent players and abundance of money creates inflated contracts for guys that other people think aren't that good.

But JJ just says "you used big words". Didn't respond to the point at all. Then he acknowledges in his next tweet that he thinks there should be no cap and LeBron should be able to get what he wants, only that with the system the way it is, these contracts make sense.

TL;DR: Guy says the market sucks. JJ says he used too many big words, but acknowledges the market sucks, only that in this sucky market, these deals make sense. He just tried to play the guy for no reason.

Basketball GMs are running their teams like baseball teams that regret everything.

Forget cap rising and vets getting a higher percentage of the cap. We all know that.

But it's interesting how many "old" guys are getting paid for old production they couldn't possibly continue to provide.

I am betting we see an amnesty clause in the next collective bargaining agreement.

Seemed pretty straightforward to me. Especially when JJ explained his POV going about 30 tweets before that one so maybe at that point he was a little snippy (not to mention dude took a shot at him first)....but it definitely made me chuckle.....

Lakers weren't gonna land any huge FAs, and they have to spend money and sign players. The young core of players they've acquired is what I'm more concerned about. Looking forward to seeing how this teams final roster looks when the season starts.

Seems like that's going to be a given at every CBA going forward

So we just paid Deng $72 mil to come off the bench? Or did we draft Ingram #2 to come off the bench? Or is Randle now coming off the bench? Maybe Ingram comes off the bench at first but you can't have him come off the bench for more than a year. Especially if we're still losing 55+ games next year.

As far as I'm concerned, the Knicks haven't signed Noah. Woj hasn't mentioned it. Can't trust Ramona Shelburne.
