re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread
If anything, I think this further enhances the chances of Wade staying in Miami. He wants to get his pay day, and the Heat will have the room to give him one. Question is, does Riley prefer to wait out for 2017?After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

I don't think that's fair. Presti made some shrewd moves, including this recent trade of Ibaka. The Harden deal ultimately was a good one because it brought in helpful pieces. The Thunder have been a well-run franchise since they drafted Durant in Seattle. The move from Brooks to Donovan worked this year, too. I don't think a player can ask for more.
Who did it bring in that helped them?

I'm so jealous of the GS front office man. This is what happens when you bring in smart people from the ground up. Obviously a ton of this signing was luck and just being in position to have the blessing fall into their lap, but being smart helped put them in the position to do so. The light years ahead comment was obviously dumb but they've clearly got some great people in place.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Man you need to lay off this weak *** **** about LeBron being in the east. All that matters is winning in the end, and he just won again so let it go already. You keep beating this dead horse is no worse than people keep posting that old Durant tweet. Durant just killed the WC. It's now at best, a 2 team conference and the second team is filled with old guys that are far past their prime.

They've been far and away the best built franchise ... maybe ever. All of their core players were straight up draft picks. That combination allows them now to pounce with the salary cap hike. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

LeBron be handpicking his teammates, he earned his reputation
HE had to sit under Wade's tutelage to learn how to win it all...
Aint no shame in it, just please, no more capingComment

By this logic, LeBron should have been Executive of the Year and not R.C. Buford. lolAfter more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Lol at you liking LeBron.
I don't see how handpicking his teammates can be used as a negative against him? Dude won 3 titles with that method and after the joke of teammates he was surrounded by in Cleveland Round One, not sure how you can blame him. Should he have just wasted away under incompetent management instead? Come on brah.

You're absolutely right. Winning is winning. I just think and it's my personal opinion, that he took an easy way out.
OKC was perfectly capable of beating GSW but they fell short, just like GSW did against the Cavs.
I just believe that it would be better for him to get his legacy done with a team that would beat one of the best teams in the NBA. I would want to be one of the faces of a particular franchise. Right now it's still Curry. *shrug*
I'm not an "armchair bitter fan" anymore than anyone else is. It just seems like, especially how his "views" were on going to stacked teams, that he could have made a better choice for himself.
Winning with GSW doesn't really make his "legacy" amazing. It gives him a chased ring to be honest.
Like if he wins a ring with GSW this coming year, people won't be like "wow amazing", they'll be like "lol well what did you expect".
Also find it funny people saying he's not tough or doesn't have the drive to come back to his team. He's been coming back for what 8 years trying to help get that ring for OKC?
The man wants a chance to win and one of the best teams in the league wanted him..obviously he didn't think he had as good a chance staying with OKC so more power to him.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment
