Young thinks his inner circle urged him towards the Warriors.

Presti tried to get him to sign last Thursday. First he met him outside the arena, in front of giant pictures of Westbrook, Durant and Adams. Presti went through the Durant door but Durant went through the Adams door.

Then he told Durant they would try to acquire Horford if Durant approved by signing a long term deal right then and there.

They didn't succeed in getting him to cancel his trip to the Hamptons.

On Sunday, they flew out a contingent of lower-level Thunder employees, like trainers, with whom KD interacted. They had a bad feeling but they stayed over night there and could only find 6 rooms for the 9 people who went there. So they shared some of the rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, including the owner Bennett.

Durant also apparently believed that free agents didn't come to OKC because of the city. For instance, GAsol chose Chicago over coming to OKC.

Then on his podcast, Jalen Rose said that the night Obama won the presidency, Thunder were playing a home game and they announced the election results and the crowd booed. Rose didn't say KD was an Obama supporter or anything, just that he might have been proud that a black man was elected president.

Hope he likes the Bay Area.

You really think in 2016 that any of these Generation Y basketball players care about loyalty and pride? Comical.

The league has been ruined by TV contracts, shoe deals and guys caring about their 'legacy'. Winning rings is good for business. You don't get some sort of consolation prize because you 'stuck it out' with a team that could never get over the hump. Take it or leave it at this point.

Not a fan of the move because I grew up in an era where guys weren't buddies. Where guys didn't run with their tail between their legs to join your team because they couldn't beat you. Can you actually imagine Clyde on the Bulls, or MJ heading to Detroit? Just wouldn't have been right. But these aren't those days anymore and can understand why he did it from both a financial and a basketball perspective. Just disappointing to see a Top 3 player in the league concede inferiority but it is what it is. They still have to play the games.
I can't imagine Clyde on the Bulls because I see him in a 1994 champion Rockets jersey.

The good old days when teaming up didn't happen so long as we ignored it.

How Rodman do in Det...sorry Chicago. Bet you love those banners.

Not to mention guys like Magic and Bird that people bring up were drafted to 2 historic franchises they were already great. Magic won a title his first year. Why would he have left. Bird won his second year.

Logic gets ignored a lot by some basketball fans.

Those two won championships their first and second years in the league. They walked into greatness and obviously helped maintain it. Durant didn't walk into anything but a franchise in the lottery moving to a new city.

LeBron walked into a franchise that needed a draft rule created so its past owner would be forced to stop hemorrhaging its future.

But let's compare them to Magic and Bird teaming up when they didn't need to. Or Jordan suddenly jumping to old *** Detroit who he eventually stomped because they were on their way down.

Finally can we just stop comparing players to Jordan, Magic and Bird? They are essentially the holy trinity for a damn reason.

Wouldn't affect where he wanted to ball, might affect where he wanted to live. Obviously not something to get into, but an arena of people booing that announcement could bring quite a few things to mind.

The whole loyalty thing? Me and Dwayne Wade feel the same way (hahaha)

KD is still a great guy (from what I can tell) and a great player and that's what hell be remembered for regardless. Whatever he wins will have been earned.

I don't care what MJ, Drexler or Slava Medvedenko would've done.

All that said: still a weak *** move...hopefully they go 0-82

Lol Ray Allen contemplating comeback: has reached out to the Warriors. This is hilarious. They should get Gary Payton and Karl Malone too.

Yeah I saw Ray Allen's name kept popping up. I doubt he'd play but he's still a good guy to have around your players.

Hood, Exum, and Boris off the bench too, they're looking really decent.

Based on what Ryen Russillo and one of his guests were saying (name is slipping my mind right now), it sounds like Riley convinced Wade to opt out of his contract before and take a lot less money so that they could make some moves with the promise that the Heat would basically overpay him later on. And now they're currently offering less than probably at least 2 other teams are willing to offer. I'm not sure his value is really only $20 mil per year in this cap climate, and it sounds like Wade is just angry with Riley at this point.

I'd still bet almost anything that he ends up re-signing with Miami, but I completely understand him trying to force Miami to up their offer.

One night, you'll get ISOJoe and the next night you'll get Joe driving or posting up or swinging the ball around.

From Atlanta to NY to Miami to Utah though?(As far as living I mean)Kinda odd, but get that money Crazy Joe lol
