    re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread

Reading old articles on Ewing leaving and a line jumped out at me that made me think about Miami lol:

"Back in the Summer of 2000, the Knicks sent Ewing to Seattle. It was a panic move. It was a stupid move. They refused to extend his contract beyond the one year remaining on it, were wary about his skills, and didn't want to deal with the possibility of a grumpy, aging star in a tabloid city. The Knicks figured, this is Latrell Sprewell's team now."

And now im reading all of these comments online by Miami fans like "Hassan this is your team now" LMAO just can't believe the parallel.

In the same article, "LeBron James will probably stay in Cleveland, and unlike Ewing, spend his entire career with one team." And if we had drafted Brandon Jennings or Steph we'd have had a shot at a big free agent. How much a few years can change things man.

      re: 2016 NBA Offseason Thread

I am in mourning right now about Wade leaving. I really loved him. Best athlete South Florida has ever had and for it to end like this is truly a sad thing. The AA won't be the same this upcoming season. It is a tough break for us Heat fans. I understand both sides. It does suck though. I can't imagine Wade is really happy with it deep down inside. Playing with Rondo? Man that's going to be a potential train-wreck no doubt.

I have a sneaking suspicion he will be back here again, and of course retire as a member of the Miami Heat. The key is under the mat Dwyane.

As far as this being Whiteside's team? Jeez. Kid has to prove a lot now. He got the payday, now show us more on the offensive end. Dragic should have a very productive season though. As sad as I am, and believe me....I am sad about Wade being gone, this team will have some fun moments. The main problem is we lost one of the best finishers in the NBA. Wade was ice cold in the 4th quarter. Nothing rattled him. Loved the ball in his hands with the game on the line. So many great finishes over the last 13 years.

      All the best to him.

Speights to the Clippers for the min, according to Woj and Zach Lowe.

Knicks renounced Derrick Williams, according to Ian Begley.

Hope Speights can catch some lobs in LA.

Because those jumpshots he was knocking down in Golden State....say goodbye to those.

Well duh, why would they panic trade him right now?

We all know the Thunder will ship off their mamas if they know she'll leave though.

OKC being stupid right now. If you're going to trade him, you need to do it before the season starts, cause if you wait til the deadline you're ****ed. You CANNOT lose Kevin Durant AND Russell Westbrook for nothing man.

Why be conservative now though? They let everyone else go before losing them for nothing....thought that was their thing...

They're in such a funny situation to me. Am I right in seeing Adams and Oladipo are both restricted next summer? They have to pay somebody right? It's gonna be them?

Remember they were hoping he'd sign an extension and dude aint doing that.

Yeah they might get their bluff called later but they can trade him at any time if they want to.

Oladipo still on his rookie deal so yeah he'll be restricted.

Their situation is pretty bad because everyone knows if RWB doesn't want to come back they have to cough him up, and likely not star is gonna want to go there. Not anyone big enough to put them over the top anyway.

Seattle coming back to haunt them.

Unless the FO has been given word from Westbrook or his agent that he's not coming back after his contract is up...there's no need to move him now or before the season. There shouldn't be a rush or urgency to move him now.

Any GM would do that so we shouldn't be surprised by it at all.

Maybe Blake pulls a LeBron? Seems unlikely lol. I asked a bunch of Thunder fans what they thought about it and they thought he wouldn't want to come back. "He's big city now." LOL

And who the hell knows what to expect from these stars man.

They all up and leave at the times when we don't think they're leaving and stay when we do think they're leaving.
