I never want to see this man.... It's like Jon Jones right. He's only hurting the sport.

          Dirk speaking candidly:

"We, as an organization, really have to begin to question everything. Is it me people don't want to play with? Is it Rick? Is it Mark and some agents and players hold a grudge because he blew up the 2011 champions? Nobody truly knows. Over the last 5 years, we have been continuously in for the truly big names in FA, but all we achieved in the end was that we got them more money and a better contract elsewhere. As for me personally, I don't truly care how much I make these days, my main focus is on playing for a winner."

I thought the same thing. What sense does that make? He's not a minor, they're legally able to release the information right?

Dirk is my boy and I can't wait til he enters the HOF, but all this sympathy talk I've seen towards him about makes no sense to me.

Congrats on retirement to the greatest PF the game has seen. Somehow him not being at his retirement press conference is perfect.

I wonder how the next generation will remember him since he doesn't have tons of flashy youtube highlights.

They'll say what a boring retirement and call players like Blake Griffin(after he leaves the clippers) better when he dunks on somebody.

I feel like it was all wrong his last game was in front of a crowd of a team that stole their team from another city who never appreciated team basketball.

                  That's all wrong.

Dirk probably thinks he can win a title with any team the Mavs throw out there, lol. I mean to be fair, if you look at that 2011 team on paper, don't think anybody saw them during the season or even when the playoffs started as the eventual NBA Champions.

No, but the world was still in the "Dirk is soft" and "not championship material" mindset going into that season too. That title got a lot of people off Dirk's back cause he was catching hell for quite a while there at one point in time.

Blame his teammates for playing like dog**** to start that game. Popovich's rotations didn't make much sense either and he was clearly in desperation mode.

Anyway, Timmy will be remembered like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell. Mostly appreciated but overlooked because of more flashy players or media darlings.

He was getting ripped because he flopped alot and shyed away from the post, until that year.

Whatever Dirk is called he earned those criticisms.
