    Magic Johnson with some inside info for all you Lakers fans as to what they might do with the number two pick.

    @MagicsTweets
    Laker Nation: I would be very surprised if the Lakers didn't either keep their pick or trade it for a good player!

    You're welcome.

          Typical magic tweet. He had nothing to say and wanted to let us know about it.

I don't know much about Bender to be honest. But one guy I wanna see us take is Brice Johnson from UNC. I think he could be a great role player like Tristan Thompson is for the Cavs.
            You can stop talking about Butler. The Bulls aren't trading Butler and if they do, not even GarPax is stupid enough to trade him for just a draft pick or two.

              Would love to see Mike D'Antoni back in the league as he would fit in much better now. He needs a really good defensive mind on his staff though.

                Whoever said it was just going to be a draft pick or two? I never gave an offer for what I would give up for him. But my offer for him would be something along the lines of #3, Crowder, Smart, Brooklyn's first next year and maybe another first or Bradley. I know it would take a lot more than a pick or two to land Jimmy Butler, this ain't 2k. And I said a player like Butler. A young All-Star type player who's under contract is the point I was getting with that.

                  Nah I get where you're going, I'm just saying I've seen you mention Butler's name a few times. I don't want to over value him, but he's under contract for another four years, he's gotten better every year he's been in the league and he's one of the three or four best two way players in the league. The Bulls aren't trading him for a bunch of question marks. A draft pick for a maybe player and someone like Smart or Crowder or Bradley? You don't trade guys like Butler for guys that MAY be a decent/good player. You need a proven star back in a trade for a guy like him.

                      I'm not angry. It kind of sucks that the best players available at #3 will all be guards. I mean, unless you're high on Bender. Honestly, I'm not sure about him yet, but his skill set is intriguing.

                      I know that a trade was "rumored" at the deadline for Jahlil Okafor and that's what I would like (well, not counting Boogie, Butler or PG13 which I don't think any of those will happen). Although, at this point I don't know if Philly would do that without us sweetening the deal a good bit.

                      If the 76ers are as high on Embiid as they say then him, Noel, Simmons (in a point-forward role) & Hield (who would give the a shooter) sounds like a good young core to me.

                        There was some speculation around Kris Dunn drafted at 3rd overall for Philly with Jahlil Okafor coming to Boston in return. I too think Boston would have to sweeten the deal a little for that to happen. Maybe add another one of this year's 1st round picks.

                        I'd be cool that. Okafor would be an upgrade over Sullinger.

                          Yeah, either Dunn would a nice fit for Philly too. Although, admittedly I'm a big Ish Smith fan and think he would be fine running point for them next season... on second thought he may be a FA?

                              Although Okafor is a quality young big, I can't believe that the C's would want to make that trade and give up extra picks/assets. Being 22nd in Blocks/game and 26th in Opponent REB/game, I don't see how his skill set really helps them when they need rim protection/interior defensive help in a major way. If they can't trade #3 for veteran defensive help in the paint or packaged to get a "star", I'd explore moving back a few picks to snag one of the young PFs or Poeltl and an asset...or just pick BPA at #3 and roll with it. I just don't think Okafor is what they need.

                                I use him as an example because interest at the deadline by Boston was reported. Then saw the idea mentioned again last night.
