Not saying that's hollins but that's the kind of guy MDA needs to help him
He turned down Thibs back in his Sun days. I'm not sure the 4th time around he's going to get a great defensive coach. Pringles is who he is at the end of the day.

He hasn't done much in the past 6-8 seasons. His offense is exciting I suppose, not going win you many games though.

Has D'Antoni done anything when he didn't have Nash playing at MVP levels or Amare before the injury?

No. But it'll be different in Houston, apparently.

Depends on the personnal. Harden, Beverly, Brewer, Montejunas. They are D'antoni's type of players.

                  Patrick Beverly is not

Brewer would be the worse Shawn Marion you could think of

Montejunas would be who? A jump shooting big maybe?

Harden could be comparable to say Joe Johnson, but I don't know about this squad... Mike D always needed a point guard

Brewer can shoot the 3, play some D, run the break. He's a fine player for D'antoni. Montejunas, big who can stretch the floor, p'n'fade, fits well. Beverley is 3, D and hustle, that works. Harden clearly would be the playmaker though so I don't know about that.

Yeah they need a PG and probably some more Bigs but i think he would do a good job.

I think Seth could be a good fit in Pringles offense.

Bleh. Having Harden be the playmaker will make the Rockets finish a 40 win team bounced in the playoffs every season.

Houston deserves the mess they're walking into.

Harden and D'Antoni is a match made in hell.

Not that many PG in this years free agents class too. I see Conley, Jennings and Augustin.

It's not like he walked into the best situations with NY and LA. But he's not walking into a good one with Houston either so..

I don't see why he couldn't still be successful with the right personnel though. His style of offense works well with the current NBA.
