    Tim Duncan retires

I know it is probably being mentiined in other threads, but I think Timmy's legendary career ending is deserving of a seperate thread for the announcement. Here is the official press release and I'll be back with my own thoughts later today or tomorrow:

SAN ANTONIO (July 11, 2016) – San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan today announced that he will retire after 19 seasons with the organization. Sinc...

Tim is the only NBA history to have a 100 rating in offensive and defensive winshares for his career. He wasn't just "dominate" but consistently great on both ends of the court.

One of the best to ever play the game of basketball. I'll miss him.

Still waiting on the Spurs downfall, but a guy like Tim deserves all the love and respect that's coming his way on a day like today. One of the best to ever do it, certainly the best PF ever IMO. Not gonna be the same not seeing 21 on the floor anymore.

OT but that's exactly one of the reasons why Live is in the boat they're in. You have Michael Jordan in game after all the games he missed out on not being in the union back in the day and he's a tiny little pic on the front cover? Needed to make a bigger deal of that dude in your game than that.

In my eyes the best PF to ever play the game. What more could he accomplish? Legendary career.

He should've played one game at home then left

That whole scene is just wrong

This was from the chip season, ideally he would've rode out into the sunset after that....but this is how I will personally remember him going out, willing us to the Finals
