Now yes I know people are going to respond with, "well ya, he has become a great passer" and all that, but that is a lot of assists for a guy who only played 28 minutes a game. He had more assists per game than Jamal Crawford, Rafer Alston, Antoine Walker and Kobe Bryant. He averaged the same amount of assists as Tony Parker, Tracy McGrady, Jason Terry, and Mike Bibby.

Interesting stat about Vlade Divac:
Did you know that Vlade Divac averaged 5.3 assists per game last season? His career high before that was 4.3 back in 1998. He had the 18th highest assist in the league, number one for centers.

Re: Interesting stat about Vlade Divac:
Here's a little factoid about Divac that not many people know about...he's DEADLY from half-court!
Back when he was playing for the Charlotte Hornets, I would get to the arena early to watch warm ups and every single game, without fail, he'd take around five shots from half-court, usually hitting no fewer than 3 of them.
He'd throw the shots up just like any other jumper, it was amazing to watch.Comment

Re: Interesting stat about Vlade Divac:
Another center who can hit the J is Francisco Elson, from the Nuggets (backup). He can his the 20ft consistently. This summer he had to play SF (WTF) for the Netherlands team and with that he even improved his J. The guy is a dead-eye shooter. He just don't have a lot of post moves, but it is a REALLY good backup for the Big 3 (Nene, Camby, KMart).
He became famous by calling KG "gay". I hope he can also be known this year for his game. he is a pretty decent player. Better than most of the centers in the East."There's a point to where you can drive yourself crazy venting about what a game isn't while being completely aloof to what a game is."
