Not really. Just rough around the edges. Trying to figure it out. Joel has so much more going for him. The Cavs started double teaming him. That's a clear sign he's getting respect from his opponents.

My girl really enjoyed it. She been to several Nets games. And just isn't feeling the price or team.

Haha Those same tickets to see the Cavs in Brooklyn (5 blocks away from my place). We're 90 and up. In MSG it was 120 and up. The sixers on the other hand was 40 bucks. Rented a cheap hotel and made a trip out of the whole thing.

Joel looked very good in person. His speed up and down the court was impressive. Jumper was on point.

I wish my boy Bryn would get the ball so that he could put it on the floor. He needs to learn how to handle pressure.
When he's out there its 4 on 4 and he just stands in the corner because he's a "spotup shooter."

I mean, if you're going to pull your starters with 8 minutes left when down 15+... you might as well get better right?

Also, he needs lots of work on defense. He let Crawford hit from about 28 feet while he gave him about 4 or 5 feet of space and he got got by Rivers. He does seem to have his rotations down, but not quite crisp yet.

Swear we've had so many high profile guys playing their old teams the last few days, and tonight Dwight against the Rockets. They've all beaten their old squads too.

Apparently Brooks is going to rest John Wall for back to backs. I guess that explains why they lost last night.

I hate that. Memphis rested Conley and Gasol the other day too.

We are two ****ing weeks into the season man and guys are resting? And it's not like the teams that are resting them are guaranteed locks for the postseason. It's just stupid. You don't pay a guy 82 games worth of money for him to play 60, especially when he's healthy.

While i do agree, I did hear an argument that you would rather pay him to play 60-65 for the length of the contract than pay him to recover from major injury

To me, most major injuries are freak accidents and not tied to fatigue..while the minor, recurring injuries are..... But what do i know?

It's kind of crazy that players being payed franchise player money, who are under 32 years old are being rested like they are now, but as Indiana Jones said, it's not the years it's the mileage.

I don't know if all the teams are using the various bio-mechanical injury evaluative tools now, but they have the ability to detect when a player is more vulnerable to being injured and should be rested.

Wall, Gasol, and Conley are all somewhat injury prone, and I guess the teams would rather have them play only 68 games because of resting than because of injuries.

Got no problem with teams resting their franchise player over the course of the whole season or during a B2B where travel is involved. It's a marathon, not sprint so it's no reason to push guys full speed for 82 games.

I'm fine with guys getting rested, no problems there.

But 2 weeks into the season? That's a bit much. And unless your Cleveland, Golden State, LAC, or San Antonio, I don't think you should be resting guys this early into the season when you need to get wins and establish positioning in the standings.

Memphis sat Conley, Gasol, and Parsons and got smoked by Minnesota. Did they think they were going to pick up an easy win without them or something? It's just puzzling to me.

Yeah it's stupid. Didn't pop recieve a fine for resting his star players ?

I don't think you should get fined but if they're healthy, you're what ? 5 games into the season it's ridiculous to sit them honestly.

Knicks are a two-man team today.

Hayward's shot is a bit off but he's living at the line, 12-12 so far.

If teams start doing this for a whole season the NBA is going to have to look into shortening the season or something. Or extending it and giving more rest between games (eliminating all back-to-backs, maybe).

Extending the season and eliminating back to backs make a lot of sense. The schedule is too intense as it is.

But 5 or 6 games in, throwing games because rest ? Really ?

Yeah, it's crazy. But if teams keep doing it they are going to force the NBA's hand on it, I think. Makes no sense to have it the current way if players will just be rested this early in the season.
