I mean if we play this if they called it right, GSW wins, why not just go back to earlier parts of the game where GSW benefitted, like the missed charge calls when I think both Liggins and Love were outside the circle before the GSW player got there? Or how about some of the finishes LBJ had around the rim which should have been and 1s?

This is why I hate these 2 minute reports, calls are missed all game, but they are just going to review the last two? eh oh el

POLL: Thoughts on refs swallowing their whistles at the end of games?

The whole "that's not what lost the game" argument is just annoying all the way around. Of course it's not why they lost the game, every play matters throughout the course of the game and GS did plenty of things wrong to lose their lead. But it's still a bad call, missed call. Who cares if it lost them the game or not, it doesn't make the argument at hand any different lol.

I can't stand the 'that isn't what lost the game' discussion every time it comes up. There's about a million things a team can do themselves to not be in a **** position that you need the refs to do their job correctly in order to win, but the fact that they didn't doesn't let the refs off the hook from not doing their jobs and doesn't change something that happens at the end of a game. If you play a piss poor game, turn the ball over, not knock down open shots, miss rotations, etc that doesn't mean the other team deserves to win the game if they don't put you out of your misery and blow you out of the water at that point. You're still in that game and have a chance to win it, because you played like crap for 47 minutes and 57 seconds doesn't mean a referee should yank a chance for you to win from under you and then say 'yeah don't look at me, you should have defended better in the second quarter.' Just as teams need to get better and improve, so do the refs in the league and some of the calls they blow in these games in crucial spots in the closing seconds are just inexcusable.

Because if a team loses ground because of missed or incorrect calls, team has time to "play through it" and try to gain back ground.

But in the last two minutes or especially the last couple of possessions of a game, the team really doesn't have time to overcome missed or incorrect calls.

Yeah that's completely true. And the Warriors still blew a 14 point lead in a matter of minutes. 2 minute reports are complete garbage. LeBron easily could have shot 5-6 more free throws, Liggins took a charge that wasn't called, Love took a charge that I think got called a foul, RJ got a bull**** tech.

Sure, but the Warriors had a shot to keep their lead, if they didn't allow Kyrie to score, so they could have done something. This is why I hate these arguments lol.

Look, all I'm saying is if the league is saying they want to be transparent, you can't just be transparent for just the final two minutes of a game. There were missed calls throughout this game and probably every game. If they want to be transparent, review the whole game.

To me, things like Richard Jefferson getting a tech for a smile and wink while KD screams MF in Loves face and gets nothing are just as important in eventually what was to be a one point game.. I dont really get picking and choosing on that kind if stuff...so thats why I dont dwell on it like that when its all said and done.

As pissed as I was with the disaster of an ending to the Spurs/Thunder playoff gane last year...I can respect that Manus foot on the line preceeded all of it, which should have been called...

If this was any other two teams matched up, they would have called everything. This was a rematch of the finals so a lot was going to be let go...

This is how I like to think about it. When I was growing up playing basketball. When point game happen. So many more fouls would occur during that point game phase. But that team that won. Usually without a question won the game. And I know it's not sound logic. But I want to see the played win games. I don't want to see Harden draw fouls and shoot free throws. That's not entertaining for me.

Exactly! Look at the end of football games... you see multiple fouls/holds etc get pushed under the table...

Wait are we talking about football or basketball? I'm confused.

Basketball but i was making a point that they do the exact same thing in the NFL

So the NBA should emulate the NFL?

Or whatever the NFL is doing makes it okay in the NBA?

                            Okay, interesting logic.

They pretty much already do at the end of the games though.
