Fire back at him? For what, doing his job? Charles Barkley gets paid to talk about basketball and be entertaining when he does it because nobody is going to sit and watch just straight basketball analysis for an hour. Sure we'd watch it as intelligent basketball fiends, but why make $5 talking pure basketball Xs and Os off us when you can make $500 being an entertaining basketball "analysis" show to the masses? To quote Jay-Z. "Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense -but I did 5 million- I ain't been rhyming like Common since."
Chuck hasn't "bashed" anybody. He gave his opinion on events happening in the league, just cause it doesn't line up with what you want him to say doesn't make it bashing. If anybody gets hated on, it's Chuck with all the people that talk **** about him every Thursday cause THEY don't like his opinions.
Yeah, he hit LeBron with facts bruh. We got a got damn revolving door of starting point guards in Chicago and LeBron is bitching about a backup point guard on a team he just won a historic championship on with three dudes capable of putting up 30 points a night. Dude is out here calling out his team about hoping they aren't satisfied and not spending enough and they're $54 million dollars into the luxury tax. He's calling out the roster construction and they've made every move that HE demanded they make. It's always an excuse for this dude, I'm convinced LeBron could run down some of y'alls moms or wives in his Bentley and y'all would find some way to defend that ****. "Man y'all stay hating on LeBron. Everybody knows if you drop your keys crossing the street you homeless now. Just leave 'em." Come on OJ man, ain't no defending what LeBron did last week.

I'm not defending LeBron, I'm just choosing to not be upset about a player saying what the team is lacking. Everyone is blowing it out of proportion, it was never that big of a deal and still isn't. There's nothing to defend.

I guess my thing is...what exactly is he looking to gain from saying this? This isn't going to make folks stop talking about him. The comments just seem so random and then he's talking about "There's a new sheriff in town". This man acting like he just knocked out Debo and made the hood safe again. Right, which is why I dont have an issue with what either one said.
and I dont think either had some grand scheme behind their comments looking to gain anything, sounds like two dudes speaking their mind to me (as overdramatic as CBs came off, or as corny as LBJs mic drop line was)...dont see a reason to be mad at one over the other about it tbh.

Nobody is blowing anything out of proportion. That was some mess LeBron should have kept in house. This has gotten the exact coverage it deserves. LeBron has been calling for a backup point guard all season pretty much and for the most part people let him be. Once he went off the rails and started bitching about the roster construction as if he didn't have a hand in that and the team not spending enough because they lost a few games, that's when people rightly started letting him have it.

Oh I don't either as long as its on the same subject. But when one starts making it personal and digging for Skeletons, then it's another issue.
For all the **** Barkley has said over the years about any player, it's always been about Basketball and never **** off the court.
