So if we are talking the college team as they were then, I think you might be able to find a team in the 80s/90s because dudes stayed in school longer back then and thus were more developed. Still a tough find though.

Hell no, that 09-10 kentucky team will always be a favorite of mine, but there's a reason they lost to West Virginia. They had literally no three point shooters, and Wall had absolutely no jump shot then, not like he does now. And Cousins was just a primary back to the basket type, he wasn't pulling up for jumpers or popping threes back then.
They would be crushed by Brooklyn.Comment

In fairness I think he's talking about the 2012 team with Davis, MKG, etc.

Re: Would the best college teams ever beat the Nets?
Davis, was hands down the right choice at #1 but was far from a dominant go to threat on that team. He was unselfish to a fault, picking his spots to exploit smaller competition (he could bc the team was so good). His frame was too small to bang with the likes of BLopez, and his outside shot was just "nice for a center".Comment

MKG was all hustle, which goes along way against other college talent but exploited against pro teams. He's still trying to translate his college level of talent to the pros.

Re: Would the best college teams ever beat the Nets?
IMHO....Not only is NBA a longer game, but the pace is very fast compared to college. This is part of the adjustment for rookies. Also Bigger and stronger at each position. More depth on the bench. Not saying it couldn't happen. 92 dream team lost in scrimmage to college players albeit exceptional ones. webber, penny, grant hill. Just not likely.Comment

There isn't an NBA team from the 80s that could beat the current nets let alone a college team lol
