So they waited til today to start shopping him? They are so ****ing stupid.

Oh well, at least I can feel comfortable knowing GarPax have finally made all the moves for a smooth, comfortable rebuild......oh wait, they're moving to sign that PG oversees. You know the one. Plays for CSKA Moscow. Milos. He's 30....

        Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Lol, I picked that guy up from the Free agents list for my Cavs team in MyLeague.

As a Knicks fan at heart, I hope we do get Griffin, what he did with the Cavaliers during his time there, is remarkable, and he didn't do much. He just saw the abilities in some guys young and old, that other GMs didn't. Mainly Phil Jackson. I only give Jackson credit for his drafting of Porzingis. But that went down the drain when he confirmed that he was shopping him around for a trade. a 21-year old seven footer who plays like a small forward and does things most guys his size can't and he wanted to trade him after two seasons, I really think Jackson went senile for a bit with the moves he was attempting to make. I did like the hiring of Hornacek (sp?) though, but Phil didn't exactly allow him to coach how he may have wanted to. Don't know much about the other two candidates for GM, so I can't really say anything about them.

And Chauncey still hasn't made a decision, has he? It's been like two whole weeks.

Sounds like it's time for Rondo to get bought out and come back home to backup IT

*after Hayward signs and Ainge trades for PG, of course.

Lol I'm SO glad he chose y'all instead! But FAs always listen to us cause PHX is a great place to live 8-9 months out of the year. They just never choose us and we end up with dudes like Tyson Chandler instead.

I'll take a hard pass on Griffin though. We already have an athletic PF in Chriss who is much younger, unless they wanna try and slide him to C like Amare. Dude needs to grow in his body before that can happen though.

The medical staff hasn't performed any miracles lately but we're not full of old dudes anymore either. Though Tyson Chandler did average a career high per-36 min RPG. Only played half a season though.

David Faulk represented Howard back then and represents Porter today. Here's the story on Howard's negotiations if you're interested: http://www.truthaboutit.net/2010/04/...llion-man.html

Not like he was gonna leave anyways. And compensation for him going would be so high. 2nd for a gm leaving, it'd have to be a 1st for a president.

Though I find it funny how the same guy who just a day or so ago claimed Masai could leave and that Knicks were so confident in getting him, now suddenly back tracks, citing multiple sources, when the only source is that ESPN one. Goes to show how desperate these guys are for stories. I think he was same guy saying Lowry wanted out and caused Lowry to speak out against that report.

Besides that, it's pretty clear what's happening here. That BS report that LeBron said he'd never play for the Clippers. Bron, Wade and Paul lining their free agencies up. Carmelo once again the odd man out because he's locked in a contract for two more years. Though he's trying to get a buyout. The Clippers could potentially have 70 million dollars+ in cap space next summer. Chris basically being a rental for the Rockets.
