I thought Crowder was still linked to the S&T they're trying to do with the Jazz?

Or does the trade make that null now?

The sign-and-trade was to get Hayward to the Celtics because they didn't have the cap space to sign Gordon to his max deal without moving Bradley or Crowder among some other moves. Since the difference between Bradley and Morris' salaries is about 3,808,989 dollars and Bradley was getting about 2 million more than Crowder they shouldn't still need to run a S&T....unless they can't shed the other salaries they needed to get rid of like Green and those guys.

Man, I am so glad a sign & trade with them never can to fruition. There were media members in Utah claiming Hayward and his agent owed them a forced sign & trade for leaving in free agency.

That's what I thought, but didn't know if the Celtics were still pursuing just because or if they let it go.

You seem pretty sure in saying we don't care about Porter, which I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. Don't know if you noticed, but we don't waste money for the sake of wasting money.

"Hey, we're going to match the offer because you wanted to give him more than what I, Billionaire Ted, wanted to pay him, thereby forcing me to match it so I don't lose him for nothing, I'll make you wait 6 days before making it official, therefore screwing up your cap space".

If Billionaire Ted thinks Otto is worth that offer, your Nets have many more years of pain and struggling ahead of them. But yes, it is a bit of a win/win situation for them. If the Wizards match, they helped put another team in conference in cap hell, taking them out of contention for any other FAs the Nets may be looking at. But if the Wizards don't match, the Nets (in no position to win a chip anytime soon) have a nice piece they can try to flip later, but will help make going to games at Barclay more tolerable this year.

But lets not pretend they threw that offer out there to outbid the field (or even just Utah) for Porter's services.

If you didn't want to be staff any more you could have just stepped down wwharton. Scorching the earth and getting yourself banned is not the answer.

The ridiculous contract the Heat forced the Bullets to give him was the start of his legend.

Number of times Howard's team advanced past the 1st round: 1

I think Juwan Howard might have mentored LeBron in how to deal with a receding hairline, but ... doesn't seem like Juwan really brought a wealth of postseason success to LeBron's teams.

Granted, I'm pretty sure the Heat players all loved Juwan and respected him being the vet he was, but I think the overall impact was negligible.

Which is embarrassing. Hayward doesn't owe us anything. Yeah, having Crowder would be nice, but I wouldn't want to give up Exum, Hood, Mitchell, or Favors, all which seemed to be asked for by Celtics fans at some point lol. Our first next year I wouldn't be comfortable giving up either with the uncertainty of our team moving forward, although I still expect to make the playoffs next year.
