Speaking of light skin. You guys seen the upcoming class of 2018. They calling Michael Porter Jr light skin KD lol.

And Duke got the number one JR to jump to college. ...... And this guy

So I just saw that Cleveland had this offer on the table before they decided to move with Kyrie to Boston.

I guess the Brooklyn pick was too good to pass up, but I'm not so sure if I'd have made the Thomas move knowing this trade was out there now.

Would have definitely helped their defense. Brogdon, Middleton, LeBron (in the playoffs), Thompson.. Probably enough defense to make up any ground they lost offensively in trading Kyrie.

The Boston/Wizards on Christmas Day suddenly seems a little less exciting. None of the impactful players from the Celtics will be back next year apart from Smart and Horford.

Y'all sleeping on Ante Zizic. Some NBA pundits predicted he would have been a Top 10 pick in the 2017 draft and he's still only 20 years old.

Even if IT leaves after one season a top 4 or 5 pick, Crowder and Zizic is a nice haul for Cleveland. Especially for a player that everyone knew wanted out. If Brooklyn is as bad as everyone besides Packman expects then that package without IT is better than what Chicago or Indiana got for their All-Stars.

Zizic hasn't done or shown anything outside of SL to get people to not sleep on him though, lol.

And those same pundits you say predicted he would've gone Top 10 this year(which I'm questionable of)are the same ones saying that pick won't be as valuable either since they got us winning around 30 wins. And if that pick lands outside of the Top 5-6 or we hit 30 wins, then I guarantee ya'll will be saying "Man, Ainge was smart to include that pick in that deal".

                Melo News per Woj/Reddit

Carmelo Anthony right now, those talks have been fairly dormant between Houston and New York. They’ve tried to find third, fourth teams – the Rockets have – to help facilitate a deal with Carmelo Anthony. They haven’t been able to do that. And both sides are prepared for the fact that Melo may have to go to camp with the Knicks.

I think I saw somewhere that Duval is like a 17% shooter from 3 though lol. Duke is gonna be super interesting this year. They have insane talent coming in but their spacing could potentially be a disaster.

Totally agree about the spacing. But I'm not worried about players jumpers. I haven't seen a Duke guard that couldn't knock down a open 3.

If Melo would agree to opt out and waive his NTC I'd trade Randle and Clarkson for him. If he'd open up his options, he'd definitely get traded but Melo just loves NY too much apparently

The Wizards would be a decent landing spot for him too and would be super fun to watch as there'd be at least 3 competitive teams out east as opposed to the usual 1.

From what I remember Zizic wasn't great in SL.

And I agree with those pundits about the pick. I've had my reservations since they added Crabbe and Carroll. Both are solid upgrades for the Nets. Also if Lin can stay healthy this year, I could see them easily getting 25-30 wins this year. I could see them finishing outside the top 5 lottery positions too. I see those being the Bulls, Hawks, Kings, Magic, Lakers.

Kyrie Irving sent shockwaves through the NBA by requesting a trade from the Cavaliers. They resolved up by sending him to the Celtics.

But Cleveland apparently isn’t done dealing with trade requests from its guards.

                                Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

Lost in the attention surrounding Irving’s trade request is that Iman Shumpert also requested a trade after the season, multiple sources told ESPN. Cleveland was in talks to trade Shumpert and his $10.3 million contract to Minnesota or Houston, but both deals fell apart. Logic would tell you that the Cavs will remain motivated to find a team to take Shumpert.

Shumpert once said the Cavs “grabbed me out of hell” by acquiring him from the Knicks. But there’s been an apparent uneasiness in Shumpert from Cleveland’s end.

Even though the 27-year-old Shumpert – due $10,337,079 this season and holding a $11,011,234 player option for the following season – has probably seen his value bottom out, the Cavaliers would probably prefer to move on. They’re in line to pay the repeater luxury tax and also have J.R. Smith and Kyle Korver at shooting guard.

The Timberwolves before and Rockets after last season appeared interested in Shumpert, but I’m not sure any team would just take him at this point. Would Cleveland attach a sweetener to dump him? That might be the only way to grant his trade request and ease the luxury-tax bill. Preserving depth and positive assets might trump those other considerations.
