We've also got a presser at 930, a lot of people think it's for our jersey ad, hasn't been announced yet. We shall see.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I still think he's here until well into the season. Keep him until the deadline.
I'm still wondering if he'll opt out after this year anyway (lot of debate about what his next deal will look like) so if we have to ride him out and free up his cap space hopefully next summer then I'm fine with it. 2017 Offseason Thread
Fun fact of the day:
Here’s a first for the NBA: Every coach is back. From the start of last season to the start of this season – barring something happening in training camps, anyway – not a single NBA team has changed coaches. That’s an unprecedented run of retention and an obvious source of pride for coaches across the league as the first practices of the season get set to occur this weekend.

To be more specific, he said Melo will still be with the team on Monday and Tuesday. NY reporters follow up question, what about Wednesday? Never change media.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 09-22-2017, 09:55 AM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

They came out at the presser to say he'll still be here Monday lol. What a waste of time. This dude isn't going anywhere.

"You passed Jeter, how does that make you feel?"
I'm just trying to win ball games.
"So passing Jeter doesn't make you feel any sort of way?"
I'm concerned with winning games.
"Your homerun passed Jeter. Are you happy to do that?"
I mean, it's great to help the team. But I just want to win.
The media is stupid.

The Vertical reporting that Gerald Green is signing a deal to join the Milwaukee Bucks.

If I have it right, him, Kendall Marshall, Brandon Rush, and Gary Payton II are all competing for the final roster spot. I'd like to think he can beat those 3 out but I guess we'll see.
He certainly seems like the best player out of those 4, and his presence could allow us to give Sterling Brown some time in the GLeague, though I think he's pretty NBA-ready for a 2nd rounder.

In other news, my man Andy Rautins is getting a camp deal with the Raptors. Had no idea he was even still playing basketball but I'm happy to see him get an opportunity. Highly doubt he makes it but he was one of my favorite Syracuse players.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Carmelo,George,Westbrook in OKC...That'd be interesting. But don't know if Knicks would want Kanter to pick up that 18M option next year, so they might stay away from him. Cavs, outside of Love, nobody else they can really deal for Melo to match salaries.
Rockets obviously would have to have Anderson going out, another thing Knicks obviously wouldn't want or else deal would've happened already.
So unless Knicks find 3rd team to take on Anderson or Kanter, there still probably won't be a Melo deal. But I think it'd be easier finding a buyer for Kanter than Anderson.Comment

Welp, Woj and also the Vertical are reporting that New York is in advanced trade talks with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a Carmelo Anthony trade. Deal would include Enes Kanter and Doug McDermott. Knicks would also receive the 2018 second round draft pick from the Bulls in that deal.
They're saying the trade call will likely come Monday.
