Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Alot of questions. Can three ball dominant players such as these three coexist? Can WB take a step back and be more of a facilitator this year? There is no reason at all for him to play hero ball this year.
Can George take that next step? And can Melo play off the ball?
Alot of ways this can go. Gonna be interesting.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Yeah I dont think he is total prick to teammates like Kobe was to some players, but the ball domination and some 4th qtr shot chucking that Rus does, wont help him keep or draw other top talent.
Who knows about Melo, where he will go, heck I could see CP3 and Melo team up with Lebron is Cleveland next season, Wade is there already, and all 4 of these guys are tight friends. Likley the only way Melo and CP3 have any shot to even get to a finals, heck CP3 cant even get to a Conference finals
PG13 is destined for Lakers, I would be even more shocked at him staying in OKC, more so than him wanting to not resign with Pacers.
Saw Russ, sign a extension to stay in OKC, glad to see that, there is atleast 1 star player that wants to beat the best and not go join them, lol.
Always had a feeling Russ would resign with OKC. Ive never been a fan of his, always found him annoying, with some of the clown clothes he wears, and his late game ball hogging, but Ive come to admire his will and determination, and having that old school mentality of not wanting to join the crowd, he wants to beat them. In that way he is a throwback from previous era's.
So Ive grown to admire and respect him these last couple yrs, and he does stick up for his teammates when media is bad mouthing them, so he may not be on the team I root for, I have became a fan of his, and typically root for them, unless they play Pacers, or now Boston with Brad Stevens and Gordon Hayward being there, as I root for Indiana guys, as long as they arent named Eric Gordon that is,lol.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Some of these posts man, lol. Y’all just find anything just because. Now, him and KD relationship was fake but for the past year, all I heard on head was “Man, Westbrook can be such a dickhead and I see why KD left”.
Congrats to Russ and OKC. Got his Jordan deal and now this. That closet is about to be ridiculous.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 09-29-2017, 06:34 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Depends on your cable company and the method you're shooting for. My cable company sucks and only has one HD channel for league pass games while the rest are in SD. I refuse to watch sporting events in SD now days so that's out of the question for me.
Instead, I get the digital only league pass every year and watch either on my computer or through the NBA app on my PS4 or Xbox. All the games are HD that way, I have access to the games On Demand whenever I want throughout the season, plus you can see stats as you watch if you want. So absolutely worth the money going that route if you want. Pretty sure league pass mobile is included with that now too so you have access on your phone as well.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
That's a good question. I'm not entirely sure on that as I never went through the cable route. I've had it for about 3 or four years now, so unless they do it different now, if you've already cancelled your cable LP subscription then you should be able to go to NBA.com, log into your NBA.com account or create one and then click the League Pass option. Choose your subscription and go from there.
This year's subscription options.
You can choose to pay the annual subscription price shown; the one I have is 199.99 a year or make monthly payments of 17.99 for the one team subscription, 28.99 for all-teams or 39.99 for all teams + in-arena stream.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Yeah I saw that earlier but wasn’t sure if it was for Digital Only or for my cable package, that’s why I asked just to make sure. Thanks though, man.

2017 Offseason Thread
Russell Westbrook planted his flag in Oklahoma City – again — Friday, and for the next six seasons he will be a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Next summer, free agent Paul George will have his own decision to make as a free agent. He said Saturday that Westbrook committing to the franchise — along with the welcome and synergy he has felt so far in OKC — “absolutely” will impact his decision. Via Royce Young of ESPN.
“We’ve been on an unbelievable start right now, and for him to be committed here, it says a lot,” George said. “Not only in us pairing together, but just knowing what type of dude Russ is and his values and his beliefs and him being committed to this organization says a lot. And I’m one person that’s enjoying it here, so I think when that time comes, the decision will be easier to make for myself.”
Lakers fans just got a little queasy.
George’s camp made no secret of his desire to go to his hometown Lakers next summer when PG was on the trade block, but the Thunder were one of the few organizations that not only got in on the bidding but thought they could have a chance to keep him. Westbrook is a big part of that, both on and off the court. So is Thunder ownership, who would have have to commit to a massive tax bill to keep the entire team together.
Have been told numerous times that OKC ownership is all in with a large tax bill next season. Luxury tax could be north of $140M.

George is saying the right things and keeping his options open, and most league sources I have talked to still think he’s Los Angeles bound — but it’s less certain than it was. If George and Westbrook mesh, and if the Thunder win (reaching the Conference Finals is not out of the question), then maybe he will decide to plant his flag in OKC, too.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I always sign up for MLB TV and NBA League pass for my PC, instead of going the TV route. I think its might even be a little cheaper, although not positive about that. I get it for PC mainly so I can watch the game, while I play MLBTS or NBA2k on my TV. With MLBTV, I can watch it thru my PS4 as well, not sure if NBA League pass offers that on console though.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Yeah, I will be very shocked if he is anywhere else but the Lakers come next season. I wish he would have gave us more time to try and trade him, that right before the draft started, and kept it quiet of his desires to go to LA, so they could have not only had more time before the draft to find a good deal for him, but also not let the whole world know of his desires to play for the Lakers. It really handicapped us from getting a great deal. I know some our disappointed by what we got, but considering everyone knowing of his desire to go home and play for the Lakers I think we did pretty good in the return we got. I think Oladipo, will be a solid player, and I look for him to have a break out season this yr. I also like the Sabonis kid, he isnt his father by any means, but I think he will be a descent player in time. I was surprised we got what we got out of OKC. Im also glad that PG didnt go all season acting like he might resign, then skip town, and we get nothing for him, so while he wasnt man enough to talk to management face to face, or give them much time before the draft to find a deal, atleast he didnt go all yr acting like he was going to stay, then skip town, so Ill give him that.
Curious to see when he makes his return to Indiana this yr, how fans and management greet him. If they will give him a tribute, or not, and will the crowd welcome him with cheers or boos, it will interesting to see what happens. My guess is management will be the bigger man here, and give him a tribute, but not sure all fans will give him a standing ovation in his return, not sure if I was able to go that I would be able to give him a standing ovation.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I have the same thing. It's a chronic condition that can be "managed" with ongoing treatments. He should be fine eventually like Larry Nance jr, but it's always a constant in life.
Edit: lol looks like other people already answered. Nevemind thenHELLO BROOKYLN.

Maybe it's just my pessimistic sports nature, but as a Laker fan, I put it at about a 15% chance that he leaves OKC after this season.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Been there, done that. 2010.
As much flack as players get about wanting to get paid, believe it or not, some of them actually want to be in the playoffs.
PG will be in his prime. Yet we want to believe he's going to opt out to go through rebuilding on a Laker team in the Western Conference basement?
