Gortat is involved in a meme and it's not a bad thing. I don't know what to think.

Just a taste of what to expect from OKC. If this is how it is they might be a problem out West

5 years/148M to a dude who has played 31 games since getting drafted. Ok...gg Embiid.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
If Exum is a bust, Embiid (and Jabari, to a lesser extent) are busts as well, because the only thing holding him back now are injuries, both of which were freakish injuries.

I’d need to see how the Sixers shaped his contract before I drop gifs and jokes about “Lolol Sixers”.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I agree he deserves it based on him playing. But the dude has averaged 10 games played since he was drafted three years ago. I would've waited until after the offseason to discuss a deal with him. And if he puts together a 65/70 game season I'd offer him the max with a few injury preventions in it. And I'm not at the lolol Sixers stage, I'm more perplexed that they agreed to the deal before the season and I'm not gunna make my final judgment until I see all the injury provisions. I saw a report earlier that this was the most complex contract signed in NBA history earlier or something along those lines.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I mean he was going to get a max contract regardless so I’m not sure what waiting would do. They still having $40 Mil in cap space and the new contract supposedly has some salary cap protections on it, in the event he suffers another setback.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
If they waited, he would be restricted, and we know what teams like to do to contracts that will be matched.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I think you're confusing super max to mean an exact amount of millions. It's just a name.
Embiid is getting his max, which I believe is 25% of the cap, and if he reaches certain accolades he can receive extra money.
But his super max is not equivalent to Harden's who has a max of 35% of the cap plus incentives.
