Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Well in the case of the Suns beat guy that I think was mentioned already in this thread, New York supposedly reached out to Phoenix with a proposal for Booker and the 4th pick.
Basically everyone has reported that "______ team talked to the Knicks and the Knicks demands were too very high" or something along those lines.
Like I said, I highly doubt Porzingis actually gets traded, but it seems pretty clear they're at least gauging the market a little bit. They aren't just hanging up when teams call with interest in him.NFL: Bills

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
A guy like Phil thinks two steps ahead.
Step 1: Trade Porzingis for a nice haul and include Noah (who has one of the worst contracts in the league)
Step 2: Melo gets mad that Zinger got traded and waives his NTC
Step 3: ProfitMy 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
I did.. I'm not mad he's leaving. If anything I'm more mad at Bird for letting it get to this point. All of his decisions post our ECF teams, granted some looked better at first glance, led to this. None blew up in his face worse than signing Monta Ellis to try and be PG's side kick and firing Frank Vogel and replacing him with a subpar retread coach to try and fix this mess of a roster he put together.
So yeah, not mad at that. I'm mad at how he's handling it. It would've been preferable had he not let the news leak out to the world that he was leaving and instead it would've been rumors of us trying to trade him because we're going in a different direction or whatever reason they fed us. But still... all that's cool. Where it reaches another level of bull**** is him practically trying to block trades out by calling teams up and assuring them he's not resigning there and is def going to LA. It's like he just wants us to sit there and listen to him say he's leaving then expect us to sit on our hands for a year and let him be comfortable and play his last year in Indy before he goes on his way to LA. That ain't how it works... I don't think it's a coincidence either that all the rumors came to a halt as soon as woj reported that. Teams aren't giving us anything now but some bench scrubs.

Time to have the "We need to talk" discussion with Verizon and let them know what the deal is.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
This off-season is nuts. Listening to Fox Sports radio now and hearing that Rockets want to trade Beverly and Bulls are talking to teams about a trade for Jimmy ( cavs are one of those teams)

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Heard on WFAN that it's 100% true that the Knicks are fielding calls on KP. They are not reaching out to anyone themselves. Take that FWIW..."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread
Phil already met with and looking at this 7 foot 3 dude
He can shoot really well, quick feet, versatile on the perimeter.. average rebounder and needs to get stronger for the inside.
