Agree... He's been trying to come back since they let him go in ESPN. He'll say anything to get attention again. And he is also the writer that turned me off to writers in general. I only read about tactics like Zach Lowe. If you've never been in the NBA you got no place in my world.

Harden was ggetting beat up having to play bigs. Houston played too small.

Per Washington Post, Bill Simmons seems to think that Harden has a concussion and says he hasn't looked right since the 4th quarter in Game 5, hence him playing like trash last night.

If that's the case, when would he have suffered it because I don't remember seeing him take any blows to the head late in the game?

I think it happened when he jerked his head back during Manu's block to act like he got fouled. It was pretty violent jerking motion... could see the brain shaking around a bit on that one.

I dont put much into anything Bill Simmons has to say, especially when it comes to anything basketball related.

Whats the excuse for all the other players then?, lol, Outside of Ariza and Capella no one else really put much effort out last night.

This isnt the 1st time Harden hasnt showed up when it counted most, so I guess it shouldnt be much of a surprise. Only thing that surprised me was his lack of aggressiveness on offense. He looked on offense last night, like he always looks on defense, with his lack of interest.

Im not surprised Houston lost, as I dont think a Harden led team or a D Antoni coach team will ever win a championship, but I was surprised at the lack of offensive movement last night. Players and especially Harden was standing around on offense.
Im sure losing game 5 like they did, and the fact that they only played 7 players in game 5 played a small role in their play, but with the Spurs not having Parker, and not having Kawhi, their is no way Houston should have lost that game, let alone get run off the court lik ethey did.

I think if I was his HC, or the owner of that team, I doubt I would be too happy to know my star player, after looking like he was disinterested in actually playing during the game, was out clubbing after the game.

I know if was a teammate of his, after a game like that, and I found out he was out partying, we would have a problem.

LOL, well considering how tired he looked during the game, maybe he should have went home and went to bed.

I guess everyone is different, but I wasnt ever in the mood to party after losing a game ever.

I doubt back when MJ couldnt beat the Pistons, he was in any mood to go out afterwards.

Just doesnt look real good to me with as horrible as Harden played, and the lack of interest he showed during the game that he would be out on the town.

In all my years, I dont think I have ever seen player who is considered a super star, lack effort in a big game. You expect Harden to lack effort on defense but not offense. Its 1 thing to just have a bad game, it happens, some games you just dont have it, but he literally just didnt put forth any effort at all. I dont like Harden, but I was shocked at the lack of aggression offensively from him. Not so much that he didnt shoot the ball all that much, just really wasnt even looking to make plays for others.

Quite frankly I wouldnt blame some if they thought he threw the game. Not saying he did, cant see any of these stars now days doing that witht he money they make, but its just surprising to see him not looking to push the pace.
