Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
I also have both and am getting it on my Cube. I do not think the cube on line will be updating it though.
I plan on getting Live for my PC to keep things real and up to date. I use 2K3 to make my own franchise anyway. -
Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
Depends if Sega and EA think Sports games online on Cube would do well. I'm leaning towards no, they don't see the system as much of a sports system.Comment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
Terpspower, I am also a gamecube owner who is pissed about the lack of love given to gamecube. Sports games is all I play and it seems like the gamecube versions are always missing features that the others have. The lack of online play is just pathetic. Has anyone heard anything about when/if gamecube will have online play?Comment

because I didn't know that gamecube got love from no one, obviously I wouldn't buy a gamecube if I thought it sucked.Comment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
it was cheaper, plus i dont really care about online play, i'd rather go outside and paly with my buddies, thats my online play. GC sport games arent bad, madden 2003 is great, all star baseball wasnt bad, 2k3 and live will be great tooComment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
I too am a proud Gamecube owner. Cube owners are not getting the shaft when it comes to sports games because all the quality sports games are coming out for the Cube. Online play is not a big deal to me either. As long as the game has a deep franchise mode I will be happy.Comment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
I have a Gamecube too but the reason I bought a Gamecube was for games like Metroid, Zelda, Mario and for the Rogue Squadron, I certainly wouldn't use the Gamecube for my sports games, the memory cards don't hold enough even the new larger cards take an entire card to save franchises just like the Dreamcast ones did.Comment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
i normally rent the sports games for the CG because i've got that lil' screen for it. it's cool bringing it to work or traveling. it thinl every GC owner shoul own one!...I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...Comment

Re: Some Game Cube Love Please!!!
I've been a Nintendo guy since back with the original NES. Often times, it seems as if Nintendo gets shafted when it comes to sports. Initially the Genesis had better sports games. But after the original NBA Live (95) came out, it seemed as is EA got the message that the SNES could do the same thing. This was evident with Madden, as the versions kept improving by leaps and bounds.
My problem is not as much with sega(the online doesn't bother me as much, but I know its important to others) as EA. EA always goes with the proven commodity(PS2), instead of the others. But its not bugging me as much anymore, because there sports products are lackluster(save for Madden, NCAA football, and FIFA). I had the N64, and it had one of the best and most underrated basketball games ever in the second NBA Courtside. The original had to me one of the first good post games in a basketball game.
I am upset by the treatment of GC sports fans, yes. NCAA Football 2003, and Madden 2003 however, show how good the games can be. EA however, will get theirs. When more people buy NBA 2K3,(I Know lots of former livers who are getting it, they will learn. Sad, that they are giong to lose lots of GCers and XBoxers for College Basketball as well by not giving either of us March Madness. That's okay though. I'm sick of the day where college games don't have all the teams(including my alma mater American University in Washington DC, which is DI). I want 2K3, where they will have AU, and my hometown favorite team, UCLA!
