Re: "This demonstrates why our players must not enter the stands - Stern
I know the league is going to come down hard on the Pacers; and deservedly so.
But how does Stern properly punish the Piston's organization? I said earlier a $5million dollar fine, but perhaps the number should be closer to $10million or $50 million.
As I said last night, security was either (1) punching Fred Jones; (2) threatening to pepper-spray Ron when he wasn't even doing anything; (3) nowhere to be found such that Chuck and Reggie were the only *brave* enough to help get Ron out of the arena; and (4) utterly unable to keep fans off the court.
That's a f***ing embarassment. But how does the league make a just ruling - the Pacers are facing probably 50 man-games in suspensions, the Pistons are probably facing only about twenty man-games in suspension.
The guy that threw the beer at Artest *must* be charged with inciting a riot.
His season ticket should be revoked. And the Pistons should get a restraining order against him preventing him from being with fifty yards of The Palace ever again.Comment
