I remember on Bill Simmons' draft podcast he would not stop talking about Monk. Saying he was gonna be really good right away. Actually he said that about half of the guys drafted in the top 20. I guess if you say everyone is gonna be good you're bound to be right about at least one of them. I think mostly he wants to be seen as in tune with younger players (read: people) in general. But I digress.

Danny Green ever going to get all defense consideration?

Edit: didn’t realize he made the 2nd team last season lol

Yea I thought Monk was the most under hyped rookie. But so far he's been pretty awful. Obviously you don't take a small sample size too serious. But it's hard to imagine him shooting much worse.

John Henson is not ready for a PG like Bledsoe. Dude is never ready to catch the ball.

Nice debut for Bledsoe and great game on ESPN tonight.

Nice win for the Bucks in San Antone tonight.

Also, nice to see defense still matters.

I wonder when is the last time the Bucks won in San Antone.

Fake D'Angelo aka Mr. 4th Quarter strikes again.

Nets get their first win in Portland since 2013. Good contributions from Joe Harris, Quincy Acy and the great "He'll be washed up by mid November according to Raptors Fans and he's so terrible that the Nets TOOK 2 draft picks from us to get him", DeMarre Carroll.

I think Toronto just wasn't a good fit for him. Still a very capable player.

To be honest, with the **** Casey gets I'm more surprised the blame is on Carroll and not the coach for how he utilized the player.

Also, I should add I barely watched Carroll play in Toronto so I'm admittedly talking out of my *** and making an assumption.

More love for the Greek Freak:

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 28 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks in a win at the Spurs. He's the first player with at least 25p/10r/5a/2b in a road game at San Antonio since Shaq in 2003.

He was hurt and was being touted as a "Lebron Stopper" when they picked him up so of course when he didn't live up to the expectations, he was billed a disappointment. Which I completely understand, because we've had guys like that here too(oh hi, Deron).

It was just funny that once he got traded, you would've thought he was the worst player in the league and that we got duped for trading for him, despite the fact that he was going to be reunited with the Coach in which he had his best years under. And then of course, it was just a few weeks ago when Raptors Fans were saying "Yeah, he's doing good now but by November, he'll be back to his trash self, not contributing a thing".

I mean I don't see how getting two draft picks for a veteran that is help mentoring these young Nets player is ever a bad thing. From the way dudes were talking I'd have assumed Carroll was actually Nikoloz Tskitishvili in disguise or something and the Nets were the ones giving up the picks.

Masked Kyrie is making a return

Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will likely miss Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors because of a facial fracture but plans to get fitted for a mask and play through the injury, league sources told The Vertical.

Lonzo dishing against the Bucks. 10 assists at the half. 3/4 on 3's, too.

Bledsoe is looking tired. Not in that game shape yet after his time off.

Flopping is still live and well in the NBA.

Nice throwdown by The Prez at the end of the 3rd.
