Re: lakers need to trade odom!!!

i think lamar is untradable, unless you trade him for someone that can average 10 rebounds a game

lakers really need help with their rebounding, and the loss of lamar would just make the problems even worse

i think lakers should move kobe to PG, carron to SG, odom to SF, mihm to PF and divac to C or cook to PF and mihm to C

the only problem with that is that kobe would have to guard a PG

another thing to solve it is trade caron butler, open up a SF glut that the lakers have

butler for some PG or a forward-center seems to be a more viable option than odom since odom is the only laker that actually rebounds

Re: lakers need to trade odom!!!

This is just like last year with the heat....Odom had a slow start and people started to say -trade him-, but I think just as last year he will get settled in and the Lakers will really start to click....so just give him time.

And yeah Caron and Lamar should never be traded because they actually like Kobe.

I like the odom caron and Kobe combo

But the lakers do HAVE to trade away from of their small forwards...

(Im looking at you Devean, Luke) and maybe even J. Jones to get some big men.

And they need a back up SF who is a good shooter

Just clam down the Lakers have only played a hand full of games and to my knowledge haven't been blown out yet. Give Odom some time to get in the groove of the offense. I guarantee you'll like him when he gets going.

Yeah they have been blown out----2nd game of the season they lost to the
Jazz 104-78 and to the grizz 110-87 the 6th game.

But lately they have been playing better ( except the loss to bulls) once they build some more chemistry and Odom finds his place we will be fine.

Odom is far from the problem. I guess Houston should trade T-Mac already, since they're not off to a great start either.

The Lakers have a few problems, but Odom's not one of them. Having 12 small forwards doesn't help. Losing their starting frontcourt from last year and replacing it with Brian Grant and Chris Mihm doesn't help either. Divac coming back should be a big help once he gets into gameshape.

not to mention replacing their frontcourt with grant/mihm/divac

and then NOT UTILIZING THEM AND INSTEAD USING BRIAN COOK

dont get me wrong, cook is a great player, but hes not suited to play CENTER OR THE TYPE OF PF THEY NEED

                            WHAT IS RUDY THINKING?!

and dont give me that "you think you know more than someone whose won 2 championships" because even if he does know more, it doesn't mean that what he's doing is right, you can easily argue either side of having cook play or having cook not play

rudy isn't the same type of coach he is towards older/smarter/wiser/veteran players as he is towards young/inexperienced/prone to mistakes players, but he has weird substitution patterns and seems to take out all the key players at sometimes the wrong times (like leading by 6 against the kings, why would you then suddenly take out your whole starting line up and put in the 2nd unit..its a 6 point lead, not a 60 point lead)
