Everytime an offensive player is 'flying' towards the basket, a defensive player will set his feet while the former is in the air and the refs would call it a charge....how in the world do they expect the ofensive player to switch directions while he's in the air.....shouldn't it be a blocking foul instead?
new rule??

Re: new rule??
no the defensive player is entitled to their position
the offensive player is intiating contact so it is a charge
blocking/charging fouls are really hard to call, and ive noticed this season well not sure if it was this in all the past ones but the refs just seemingly cant be consistent with their calls on this
one time down a guy will have his feet set outside the restricted zone and get knocked over and they'll call blocking, then the next time a guy barely establishes position and then gets to draw a charging call on the offensive player -
