Re: 3/6 - 3/12 Games Discussion Thread
That was a pretty fun one. I'm not a big Reggie Jackson fan but I remain interested to see what this team really looks like when he finally returns. Ish Smith never hits the shots he hits tonight, but Reggie Jackson does (on top of generally being a better all-around player). It'd be nice to see what happens when the team no longer needs to play through Blake Griffin in a point-forward position.Comment

First team to clinch playoff spot.
Should be good game Friday vs Houston. #1 seed in East vs #1 seed in West. Rockets potentially going in with an 18 game win streak.
Who would've guessed that at the start of season?Last edited by Majingir; 03-07-2018, 10:56 PM.Comment

Here my thing. I think Ish moves the ball around more. And is just faster. That's just my take. That was a pretty fun one. Also I don't want to Jokic with the numbers he's had from the last 2 games. Forget about Paul Milsap.... Jokic has to be the focus.

Good night... It's pass your bed time. -Love DeRazonThat's the game that should be on Saturday night. Not this thunder-spurs game.
Hope Jokic isn't another victim of the season ending injury. That looked Scary.....
But like I was saying before. Jokic play your game!

Re: 3/6 - 3/12 Games Discussion Thread
I watched an interview a few months ago with one of the TNT commentators, and seems like the main reason they don't have many Raptors games is because of cost. They can't do Raptors games because it costs too much compared to these other cities. Don't know how true that is, and if it applies to all the networks. Rockets game this week is in Toronto, so that would fall in line if it is true. Though don't know how that explains the road games where they could've easily had it on these networks.Good night... From what I see, they got just 2 more national games on season. 1 vs Cavs on ESPN and another vs Celtics on NBATV. Too bad they couldn't get the April game vs Cavs on TNT. It's happening on Tuesday night, so maybe it could still be moved up?Comment

Re: 3/6 - 3/12 Games Discussion Thread
Ish Smith certainly does some things better. In all honesty, I really am not particularly fond of Reggie Jackson. That said, for all his faults, he serves as a weapon that other teams are forced to recognize. He may not have Smith's willingness to move the ball nor his top-end speed, but he has typically provided a stronger impact on the game. The Pistons are really missing a duel-threat ball handler with takeover potential.
Unfortunately, you have to take the good with the bad when it comes to Reggie Jackson, but that's the state of the Pistons right now.Comment

I really want Ayton out there with Lauri, Zach and Dunn next year. I realize we need a wing as well still, but we also need a center. Much as I love RoLo he’s not in our future and Felicio is trash imo.

To piggyback on this Eric Smith (one of the radio guys for the Raptors) was talking about this yesterday and basically it comes down to revenue. The US broadcasters lose so much in revenue because the bulk of the audience can't be counted on the ratings and sponsorship revenue. The cost of moving crews over the border is high as well so it's not cost effective.
That being said, that shouldn't stop the media from at least TALKING about the team. I swear, if you just went by the US media alone you'd think the Raptors were just a nothing team barely trying to make the playoffs. At least there are some guys like Charles Barkley who will put in a good word but aside from that it's hard to find any kind of coverage good or bad about the Raptors. It goes deeper than that what with things like video game rankings for players and even perception for officials and such because there's no buzz or feeling that they're a very good team.
If the Raptors can make it to the NBA Finals though, that should change things a bit IMO.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
