With the suspensions happening the way..

they are, especially with the Sprewell incident, I think this is making the possibility of a strike almost certain next season.

The players union wont sit by and allow the NBA to keep this going, especially with the fans seeming to do and say as they please. Sure it's a pretty low tolerance for players at the moment doing or saying anything out of the ordinary, and while the L has taken the hit, I just dont see the players association sitting back and watching Stern suspend and fine players even if they say anything less than nothing.

Let them go on strike. I a would rather watch college basketball anyways. I understand the players point but how hard is it too turn away from a person in the crowd. I don't think the league would have as much a problem with the Sprewell comment but if there is an 8 year old kid in the crowd people get a little upset about those comments.

So my suggestion is to move the audience back about 5-10 feet so maybe some things will go unheard. But of course that will cause a loss of income so the players will have to take a 10%-15% paycut.
