All things considered, the Cavs defense looked better than it did in the regular season. They were **** in Q1 all around but the defense at least locked in the rest of the game for the most part. It wasn't super stellar defense or anything, but a noticeable improvement over the regular season efforts. They just need some damn offense alternatives when the 3s aren't falling.

A year ago, they were a team on the rise in the East and now you can trust them, even though they’re best player was out half of the year?

They weren't really a team on the rise. They have always been a streaky team. If they get hot they could reach the ECF. They're not hot right now.

He's gotta be more involved. And its not just on him; its also on Lue and the other guys on the floor. It needs to be LeBron+Kevin then the rest of the team, not just LeBron then the rest of the team.

Kevin shouldn't have the same number of FG attempts as the other 3 starters. Kevin should not be 3-8 while Green is 0-7

Assuming (y’all don’t really want this smoke anyway) the Heat faced the Celtics and beat them in round one, the 76ers would be waiting for y’all after. So whatever is happening with the Cavs holds no bearing in how what’s left of your season plays out.

Cavs are on the opposite side of the bracket in the East after all.

Biggest issue was how slow he started. The first 3 or 4 shoes for the Cavs were from Love, and he missed them all. They tried to get him involved early, it didn’t work and they never really went back to it. Like you said they probably should have went to him more, but individually he wasn’t as aggressive on looking for his shot after those misses early.

It’ll be interesting how they handle game 2. Love should be the x-factor for them in a series like this where the other team doesn’t really have the top level talent to compete so long as Love plays well and the “rest of the team” doesn’t play like trash. Assuming LeBron plays well. He hadn’t attempted a shot 10 minutes into the game. I think he played the get my guys involved card a little too much to start the game.

Cavs also only shot 23% from 3, but even worse Love, Green, Nance, Thompson, combines for about 91 minutes of action but only attempted 2 free throws between the 4 of them, both misses. Can’t have that when Love can be an interior threat and Nance, Green, Thompson have been known for getting fouled at the rim on cuts and drives all season long.

They came out laxed and cold. If you’re going to come out of the gate and look sluggish you’ve got to hit shots, if you come out of the gate missing shots you have to make other plays and be the more aggressive team. You can’t fail in both aspects.

The older heavyset gentleman dressed in a hat and jersey sitting right next to the scorers table is always acting obnoxious every time I watch a game in Philly. Getting in players faces and constantly acting a fool all the time.
