They need to use the same set in the 4th quarter as they did in Game 5. JV with the smaller guys is a matchup that does NOT favor Washington at all. Here's a crazy number for you. JV is a +41 when he's on the floor while the team is a -39 (I might be a little off on that last number) when he's not on the court. Look I realize the guy isn't the prettiest player in the world but he seems to come up big in the playoffs. I don't understand the Raptors coaching staff shying away from him but if they know their stuff they're going to ride JV out tonight.

Wasn’t he a non factor in the playoffs last year or the year before? I remember folks here calling him that and saying they should move him...

There was the year (I can't remember when for sure) where he was killin' it against the Heat and then got injured. He isn't that bad of a player and has made improvements over the last couple years. He's a guy that's probably 10-15 years too late in coming.

I mentioned it after game 1(or 2) that Raptors should be attacking the inside. That's where they had more success and Washington doesn't have an answer for JV or Ibaka inside.

I've been saying they should move him IF they aren't gonna be bothering to utilize him. So often they just sit him in the 4th and when going small, don't use him. So it was more of getting rid of him if they could find someone they'd actually use more, not getting rid of him because he's not good.

Last year might not have been as effective, but year prior he was huge. Their bigs were having their way vs the Pacers, and in his games before the injury in Heat series, he was averaging about 18ppg,13rpg and defensive rating of 91 while going up against Whiteside.

Ya. JV is the exact player Raptors needed in Vince Carter days. Even with Bosh, if they had a guy like JV teamed with Bosh up front, they'd be unstoppable.

I think going into this our gameplan offensively should be to continue to run everything through Turner, Young, and Sabonis... much like we did in the 1st half last game. Cavs haven’t really had an answer for them. Take pressure of Dipo and hope he can get going. And take advantage of mismatches better... I swear I’ve seen the Cavs guards switched on Sabonis or Turner so many times and we fail to give them the ball.

Lance really messed up not running the clock all the way down... it’s stuff like that that kills you. Margin for error is so small against LeBron you can’t make small mistakes like that.

Seemed like a "modern" flagrant, aka ones they've been calling with increasing regularity over the past few years whenever there's any kind of unnecessary contact up around the neck.

I'm fine with it not being called, though sometimes it seems tough to get a feel for what constitutes a flagrant these days.
