I haven’t heard of any off court issues with Morris or Oubre so I’m not sure what you mean by that?

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Just from watching them in this series, they don't seem like they're entirely focused. Obviously the Morris brothers with their issues (and don't forget in this series alone Markeiff with the technical and fine for shoving an official), and Oubre too focused on calling out a bench guy on Raptors over focusing on his own game. Posted a 3/11 night(1/7 from 3) before making those comments, and in gm6 goes and shoots 1/7 and also got blocked in the game by the very guy he called out.
Guys just gotta be focused on their own thing and don't bother with any of these extra stuff.
Despite comments about Porter on here, I think Wizards should be using him MORE. Yes, his contract is way too much for a guy like him, but he should be used more. A guy who shoots 44% from 3pt range only gets off 4 attempts a game? He's 3rd in the NBA in 3pt%. Let everyone focus on Wall/Beal, have some threats inside the paint from your C/PF, and then you got a 3pt weapon in Porter who should be utilized.Last edited by Majingir; 04-28-2018, 11:18 AM.Comment

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Otto can only shoot off a screen. His dribbling is a liability typically and he's not strong enough to post up anyone of any size.
They have only outside and mid range threats. Gortat isn't consistent enough with his flat jump shot or his turn around jumper. He's slowed down enough to the point where he isn't much of a panic to the defense when rolling to the basic.
I don't agree with the knocks on Morris or Oubre. KO stepped up his game this year despite his struggles after ASG. After being excluded from the lineup last post season he needed the experience this year. They both bring intensity and toughness to the court which isn't something this team has enough of.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
Either way, Wizards will have to really think about things in the future. Team salary is basically the same for next season. And then comes the 19-20 season where Walls salary basically doubles and they have over 100M committed to 4 guys.
On another note, if Cavs do win on Sunday, then Lebron will be entering just his 3rd ever playoff series in the east where the opposition has played fewer games leading into their series. Celtics in 2011(6 days off for Celtics vs 3 for Heat) where Lebron won in 5 and Pistons in 06(Pistons had 3 days off,Cavs 1) where Pistons won in 7.
This year is looking more like the 06 scenario where GM1 will be Tuesday(meaning 1 day rest). Some similarities too. Cavs 50-32 as the 4 seed, Lebron plays over 40 mins a game, averaging over 30 points, more points than next 3 highest Cavs players combined, going up against a more rested 1 seed known for its depth, and top 5 in offensive and defensive rating.Last edited by Majingir; 04-28-2018, 01:12 PM.Comment

Porter does the little things well on that team too. Plus just the THREAT(something we all tend to overlook with players)of him shooting is a benefit for this team.#RespectTheCultureComment

If you are getting paid $24 mil a year you need to be doing more than the little things.Comment

With the way Ernie built the team, they are stuck in a corner with little wiggle room. Porter and Mahinmi represent $40 million dollars a year. $40 mil, for those two players.Comment

He shouldn't be getting paid 24 million a year is all I'm saying. Wizards want to give him that money, then hell yeah he should take it.

At least there are finally some guys to build a decent bench around though I'm not sure what's up with Sato and Lawson now.

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs - 1st Round Discussion Thread
2nd round schedule
Raptors-Cavs/Pacers:
Tuesday May 1 at 8pm
Thursday May 3 at 6pm (8pm if Bucks face 76ers)
Saturday May 5 TBD
Monday May 7 TBD
Wednesday May 9 TBD
Friday May 11 TBD
Sunday May 13 TBD
From looks of it, 76ers-Bucks/Celtics probably start Monday. Would play gm2 Wednesday if Bucks win, Thursday if Celtics win.Comment

Well, anything can happen when you're in the dance and honestly, I want Milwaukee to win. A series between them and Philly would be some fun fun basketball.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Hell, just look at the team that just beat them if they want to see how it’s done. Ted will have to work a miracle to do something about Gortat/Mahimni/Meeks/Smith.
Lot of money tied up in a bunch of suck right there.#RespectTheCultureComment
