OKC now has a backup PG that torched the jazz for 41 and made a good defender in ricky rubio look like a clown last season. No more excuses for russ has to do too much.

Where does Melo go from here? Like seriously.... He's literally on the Iverson path right now. He's not that good. What will he bring to a Houston? Spot up shooting and no hustle defense. That's what Ariza brought. I don't see how that improves them. And for the Heat. I don't see how he fits unless it's off the bench.

That Chauncey Billups Melo was my guy.. I hope the Rockets suck next season, but I’d really love for Melo to have a Team USA type year.

At least Rasheed played a game in Atlanta.

I wonder how many notable, non Luke Ridnour guys we've seen on teams who've never actually played for them (not including draft picks who were traded). Alonzo on Raptors, Melo on Hawks are the 2 I can think of.

Also, Kawhi press conference tomorrow at 12pm EST....Without Kawhi. This should be a fun interview to watch. Lets see Masai explain all this to the media who'll be grilling him with questions.

                  Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread

Just having Melo on the floor makes them better by default IMO. Opens up things for CP3, Harden, and Capela running to the rim. Players respect Melo and his game, nobody cared to leave Ariza open because it was Ariza, ultimately it played a big role in them losing to GS as well.

Houston's offense I think is a good fit. Pretty much anyone who touches the ball for Houston has a chance to iso, that's the only thing Melo has ever been good at. Asking him to stand around and take contested jumpers with 4 seconds left on the shot clock when Westbrook or PG kicked him the ball wasn't a good fit for him.

He's never been a good defender, but Houston still has Tucker and Ennis to guard the quick forwards. Let Melo defend in a small-4 role where he's guarding guys like Draymond and I think he'll be fine. Having him matched with athletic wing men his whole career was never going to make him look like a serviceable defender. Plus, aside from this year, he's been a noticeably better defender, rebounder, and passer every time he's played on a team that looks like it could contend, with team USA as well.

A press conference for a player they acquired in a trade but won’t actually be there.

                    Oh Canada.

I legitimately do not remember the Zo with Toronto thing. Not even vaguely lol

@OJ rockets not gonna win that iso ball.. luckily GS was able to get by because I felt like they were playing too much iso ball themselves..

Oh jeez, and you KNOW Masai is going to get grilled for lying to DeRozan in Vegas. This is going to be a clown show I think.

Maybe they won’t, but that wasn’t really my point.
