I’ve heard rumors of trading with Orlando. And the pieces that we would move in a trade for a high pick. You guys hit the nail on the head. It’s the Sac pick, Rozier and Smart as the big 3 pieces. Also we have Memphis’ pick coming up soon, think I saw if it gets to 2021 it’s unprotected. Don’t know the actual protections on it though.

I think the Memphis is like top 9 or something random protected.

Orlando had said last season that they weren’t really interested in adding more “prospects” because they already had so many. Orlando might be a realistic trade, and they definitely need a point guard.

GarPax, go on and make that move. Trade up and grab Michael Porter Jr before someone else snatches him before the 7th pick. Even you two idiots should be able to handle this.

They might as well stay where they’re at if they want Porter. And if they want to trade up into the top 5, they can do better than Porter at 4.

I feel like Porter is gonna be gone before 7. Don’t think he’s getting past Memphis or Dallas. Plus if Memphis is seriously going to trade that pick you run the risk of perhaps the Cavs wanting him and trading up.

This draft is somewhat interesting in terms of where guys fall and how they pan out. There's talks of even Poenix being open to trading the number 1 pick (which maybe they'd do if they could get KAT) same for Memphis and Orlando (since Orlando is apparently wanting to get established talent and not more young guys to develop).

Phoenix is apparently interested in Capela as well so who really knows at this point. In my opinion, Porter Jr could go anywhere in the 4-8 range as Atlanta is supposedly in love with Marvin Bragley. I don't know if Bulls should try and trade up Porter Jr. to me reminds me way too much of Harrison Barnes from college. Maybe he's better maybe he's worst, but too many warning flags right at this moment in my opinion. I think you guys might do better to stand pat versus giving up assets for such a big question mark.

I'm thinking I want Porter Jr because he's a win/win for me. He's got the most potential and upside in the draft I think. If it weren't for the injury, he's easily the first pick of the draft as he was projected to be what a year, two years ago? Whereas if the Bulls draft him and he busts out because of the injury or whatever, it screws up the rebuild and it FINALLY may be enough for Jerry to get off his *** and FINALLY fire GarPax. I think a blown rebuild is the only way they finally get fired after 15 friggin years of nothing. Beyond that I just want to see a home run swing on this pick. I'm tired of seeing them build middle of the road teams with middle of the road draft picks that wind up only being good enough to lose in the second round of the playoffs every year. Not interested in sitting through more of that.

I honestly think he goes #4 at best even without the injury. Maybe #3 but I think people favored Bagley even pre-injury over Porter.

I personally wouldn’t even take him at 7 now but I’m admittedly lower on Porter than most others are.

I’m not that high on him either.

I like Bamba or Jaren Jackson for them. Wendell Carter would also be a good fit, especially next to Markkanen.

Yeah, I think Bamba in particular is a perfect fit next Markkanen.

                                Re: 2017-2018 Off-Season Thread

I think Bamba with his length and defensive potential would be a good fit next to him. Carter would be solid as well, and has already show to be able to coexist next to another talented big man. Jackson seems to have a really high ceiling skill/talent wise, but I always have my concerns picking a dude who was getting 10 & 5 at that level doing big things in the league. It just rarely happens.

I still think they needed to land higher and pick Doncic. With Lauri and Portis being two decent bigs I think a shooter and playmaker is their number 1 need. I understand King wanting Porter considering Chicago has basically nobody to fill that SF role on the roster right now, but I’m also not super high on him either. The potential is there, and smart GMs are already showing big interest in him, but to me he didn’t even look all that great coming out of high school. Jayson Tatum, Jabari Parker both looked like MUCH better players at that stage IMO. But he could reach that potential and be the next great scoring rookie, perhaps like Tatum.

But I have the same concerns drafting a big. They have two young bigs, both capable starters, so if they go big again and he’s a bust this whole bad season they had becomes a waste. That’s probably the main reason Jackson would be my last choice for them. Carter played well next to Bagley, but how much of that was because so much of the focus was on Bagley as well? Bamba’s length is a problem, and even if he takes a little longer to develop he wakes up every day with a near 8 foot wingspan, that’s something you can’t teach, something the other guys will never have.

King go ahead and send LaVine and Portis to Memphis for that 4th pick. Memphis doesn’t need another big man.
