Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
At least we got a kidnapping, hostage situation, emoji battle that resulted in Paul Pierce posting a google image search if a rocket, and whatever else I forget before DeAndre Jordan eventually ended up a Dallas Maverick.
Will always have a good laugh when thinking about how that whole thing played out.Comment

Yeah, but he can't do that, he would be crucified if it was known that LeBron wanted to comeback to the Cavs and Gilbert said no.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

I thought Doc did a great job this year all things considered with that roster. I bet he’s safe for a bit unless things just completely fall apart.

Re: 2018 Off-Season Thread
I look at it this way, he’s not a guy with just loads of potential/upside, and is 22 in a league where everyone wants the guys who are 19, 20. But he’s extremely polished, consistent, and the ideal complimentary piece. Not a whole lot unlike how Klay Thompson is a great player in GS but people might question his ability elsewhere. Kuz could likely never be the best player on a contender, but playing on a team that’s good enough to contend I think he can be an all star level complimentary guy.
He had a big start to the season. Killed summer league, was one of the top scoring rookies all year. Actually finished 2nd behind Mitchell in scoring, and did so with Ball and Ingram both missing a good chunk of games. So it’s not like he has guys there who were taking big burdens off his shoulders where his scoring could just come easy for him. The positive with him is he already has a post game, great 3 point stroke, so there isn’t really an area that he still needs to develop. It’s just all about improvement and consistency.
He reminds me a bit of Danny Granger in that he’s not really a huge threat to go out and kill you for 30 or 40 every night, but his scoring comes so easy that he gets you in the 20-25 range all within the flow of your offense. I think he’s a moveable piece for the Lakers if they stand pat with their youth movement. But if they bring in stars to compete for rings he’s exactly who they need to keep. I think he could be that Jason Terry type dropping 20 off the bench in playoff games and bringing home 6th man of the year awards, if the Lakers were to stack their lineup with a few stars.

Doubt he'd be willing to take that kind of a paycut though.Comment

He was never gonna play in SL this year and that injury was the injury from the end of the season, which he's healed from now.Comment
