Lol. What excuses? Unless “Harden choked” is an excuse? Because that was the overwhelming narrative last year. Even Rockets fans on a site I frequent were talking about trading Harden for scraps after that whole thing.

Y’all will find something but the way this game is going, it may not even matter. Especially if it’s any indication of how the series will go.

At least this is good playoff experience - Mitchell gonna learn a lot this series. Hopefully Ricky comes back sooner rather than later, people forget this would be only his second playoff series in his career, too.

As for this series, I think the issue is that as good as the Jazz are, they can’t score with Houston. Even last game when Mitchell went off they didn’t crack 100. Houston will get 100 even when Harden or Paul are having trash games and they are underrated on defense.

That said you can’t expect Paul and Harden to ball like this for four games. They’ve been lights out. Plus Jazz lost Rubio and Houston got back Luc.

And... Jazz going in a nice run!

I'm optimistic after Game 1. There was just no way we could go into Houston after a very physical Game 6 Friday night without Rubio and snatch a win. We were really sloppy, but even then, there were times where we could have gone on a run to get right back into it.

Should be an interesting Game 2. Wonder how Snyder is going to adjust, he's fantastic with game-to-game adjustments.

Quin Snyder said something in postgame I think was very true - you can gameplan all you want but until you actually go out there and face the Houston Rockets only than can you can figure some things out and so I hope they can look back and see some ways they can be better. They figured out some things after Paul George went off in game 1, hope they can do something similar against Harden. But make no mistake this team is clearly a jump up from the Thunder and that is pretty obvious. Despite us beating the Clippers last year Chris Paul had a pretty great series and that looks like it will continue. I really wish we had Rubio.
