    NBA Player does good deed

Of course this happens often but we rarely ever mention these things and stick with the negative.

Heard this on the radio on the way in to work.

Tracy McGrady sent a video get well tape to the 13 year old that was shot in one of the DC shootings. The 13 year old had mentioned while in the hospital that T Mac was his favorite player, and after T Mac heard this sent the video to the hospital. Orlando is also planning to fly the 13 year old to one of the Magic games this year.

That is a very thoughtful thing to do, TMac is a true class act.

That is cool, thanks for brining this to our attention. Too often we just hear about all the bad things that athletes do, it's good to hear about their positive actions too.

        Very cool.

I get very disgusted with the media and them reporting only on Negative aspects of players in sports.

Way to point this out bd. I would have probably never heard of this if you had not posted it. I mean eventually I might have heard it in passing through ESPN but it definitely would not have been front page news. I bet if he had been in some type of trouble it would have been plastered everywhere.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that the sports headlines, especially the NBA headlines, read like a police blotter these days. You very rarely hear about these kinds of good deeds anymore, even though they happen pretty frequently.
