2 Stupid Questions

1. How do you throw an alley opp? Do you do it manually or is there a special pattern u need to hit with the buttons.

2. How do you use maximum passing? I activated maximum passing but I'm not sure if all it depends on is holding the button down for a bullet or tapping it for a lob.Not that I don't like the passing but if it can get better I'm all for it.

Most alley oops come automatically. Other times you can use Icon Passing and pass the ball to the open man and if they have jumping capabilities they will either lay it up alley oop style or dunk it down.

Maximum passing doesn't seem to work while using Icon Passing so when you press X, ps2 controller, to pass the ball you can either press it down hard to get a fast going pass, or tap the pass button to get a lob pass going.

I personally dont like that feature but I will need to work on my skills.

1. You just pass to someone that is in position to go for the dunk, usually only works when they're cutting to the hoop.

2. Not sure. It might be like NFL 2k3, where you press the direction on the analog stick and the pass button and it will guide the pass in that direction.

Alley-oops seem to only work while using the X button (PS2). Can't confirm it, I've only played about 5 hours or so. But so far, the only two times I got one was using the X button. And yes, maximum passing only seems to work with the X button, not with icon or right stick passing.
