LOL yeah right. Other than Gary Bettman and Bob Goodenow VC is the most hated sports personality in Canada at the moment. The guy gets booed during home games and is vilified for being a candyass. So I would say that isn't the case.

Personally for me when I heard this news I just wanted to throw up. I don't know what the hell NBA fans are smoking but I want some of it!

I don't see what the fuss is always about Vince Carter. People want to see him throw down the nasty dunks, therefore he gets votes.

All the girls vote for Iverson regardless ... No complaints about that?

This guy is a main example of why fans shouldn't have so much say in who is on the All-Star team. Just because Vince Carter can dunk doesn't make him an all-star. Hell, the people who voted for him this year are idiots anyway since you may not even see Vince jump for a dunk at all with his leg injury! No one even thought to consider that even if Vince goes to the all-star game, he might not even play in order to rest up his injured leg. That's like paying for a concert and not even going to it- just a waste of time and money. The all-star game is also for people who "deserve" to go. That's why we have these arguments every year about how (insert name) should have become an all-star instead of (insert name).

I understand and I will ADMIT, VC DOES NOT DESERVE AN ALL-STAR SPOT by the way he has been playing. BUT you don't understand what the nba has come to. I've been saying the nba is going downhill and I will stick to my opinions. VC will be there because it's a popularity and all-star show-off contest.

So what if a player puts up big numbers that helps his team get to the playoffs but doesn't get voted in. It's the meaning of the all-star game that prevents that person from getting into the game.

Also since *WE* get a voice in voting for anyone we want, why can't I vote for whoever I want? I don't care if you guys didn't vote for Carter. This is a vote for whoever you want contest, not an end-of-the-world vote for the most precise player contest.

I did not vote for Kobe because I do not like him as a player despite the fact that I know he is one of the best players in the league. I even voted for Daniel Santiago from the Bucks OVER shaq because I feel like I have a voice here and can vote for whoever I want without really being *judged* upon.

Sure it's sad that VC is still getting attention even though he's not the baller he was a few years ago. But what can I say? It's not my fault, blame the system.

For me I just wanna see some an exciting game with wild passes, high flying dunks, nasty crossovers in one game. And that is what that game has been defined to be recently.

Oh and I have yet to see dunks that are beyond what VC has done. Sure right now people dunk more than VC but there dunks aren't close to what VC has done. I've seen Lebron's, Richardson's, Kobe's, and whoever else dunks. IMO, I can't see them up there beyond VC.

Iverson's on the all-star team because he deserves to be there. He's a two or three time scoring champion, one of the best defenders in the league (very underrated in that category I think), and is an MVP award winner. If the ladies want him and want to vote for him, so be it. The guys' stats for the last 7 or so years speak for themselves.

He's a two or three time scoring champion, one of the best defenders in the league (very underrated in that category I think), and is an MVP award winner. The thing about it you guys left out is the NBA allows this for money only purposes. Everything is about money too. Vince will bring in casual fans' money so the NBA has no problem with it.
