For Russ to miss a game. Must be a reason. That guy never misses a game.

Didn’t he just have knee surgery? Not even sure if it’s been a month.

It's going to take a few more years for me to get used to the earlier start to the season. The damn thing really sneaks up on me. The leaves are still green in southern New England.

The Knicks are starting Burke & Frank tomorrow night. Mudiay won't dress, quite damning. I agree with the move though, Mudiay doesn't belong in the league IMO. Guy brings practically nothing to the table.

Yeah, didn't it used to be on Halloween? I distinctly remember going trick or treating in the 90s and people were watching opening night.

It used to be the first weekend in November...some years it was November 6th/7th, others it might be November 2nd or so, but it was in November.

Kyrie looking rusty, 0-8 FG at halftime, Simmons with 10/9/5/2/1 at the half.

                Re: 10/16 - 10/22 Games Discussion Thread

Hot Take: there will be nights where Kyrie gets his 50% + shooting and drops 30-40 points and he looks unstoppable.. but every other game Boston is not a worse team with him off the floor. The energy and defensive boost they get from having Rozier and Smart occupy minutes effects their team in more ways than if Kyrie is hot/cold IMO.. and we got enough sample size of that dating back to last season even.

I still think they will be in a tough spot a couple years down the line if they lock up Kyrie long term. They’ll have decisions on how to pay he, Horford, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, and whoever else they add in the meantime. Remember they likely get another top 5 pick this year, which just adds another name to the list.

Only for some parts of a 10 or so year stretch in the 90s. Since pre-merger it’s pretty much always been October. In fact, immediately post merger for about 5 years the opening game was earlier than it is now.

Idk why that even triggers people. It’s clear as day both of the other two players are better defenders, make more hustle plays, are more willing to give up the ball, more willing to push the tempo, more willing to crash the glass.

Kyrie is one of, maybe even THE most talented one on one scorers in the league. But any night you aren’t getting him with a hot hand he’s not making the team as a whole any better than those guys are.

Kyrie looking rusty in his first game back. Ainge would be a fool to keep him around after this performance when he has All World Rozier on the roster.

You know why so stop with this naive act.

But it’s too early to entertain this so I’ll let this go.
