Might Enes Kanter head to the Raptors? They could use a backup big who can rebound, and on a personal note, given what's been going on with him, maybe going to Canada could be helpful for him as well? He even tweeted this a few months back:

I don't know why any playoff team is interested in Kanter. Maybe if you have a free roster spot you can sign him to keep him away from another team but I don't think that's necessary.

To play a backup C role?

You have 96 minutes to fill for C/PF. Siakam + Ibaka so far have played about 60 combined. Gasol plays 33. So bringing in a guy like Kanter who could lessen the load when needed (15 mins a game would be fine) would help alot. Raptors are in the middle of the pack in rebounding differential. Kanter is borderline top 5 in rebound percentage in the league. That's all they really need him for. And Raptors have like 3-4 free roster spots.

I imagine Kanter ends up in Toronto, they only have 10 players now. Gotta sign at least 3

I like the trade between PHI-ORL. I think they would have probably would have want Terrence Ross more. But the fact they got a first round pick of any kind for Fultz helps. Simmons has had a down year compared to last year with less minutes. If they can get the Simmons from Spurs, that is a big win for them. He can be a good wing playmaker and defender off the bench for them.
I really do hope Fultz does well in ORL. Hopefully he has a D****ss level surge with less pressure and less spotlight

Ellington would be another guy who makes alot of sense for Raptors. He mainly plays SG, but plays 40% of his time at SF and PG. Raptors dealt PG Wright and SF Miles today, so Ellington could fit right in and replace those guys. I'd take his 38% 3pt shooting over CJs 31%.

Replacing JV with Gasol, CJ/Wright with Ellington and Monroe with Kanter. It's not a huge improvement, but could play out big time when it matters.

                  Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread

The Raptors play so much better without a natural 5 on the court, so it only makes sense that they keep that choker Lowry and trade for another inflexible 5 then sign one of the most inflexible players in the league like Kanter. Raptors are headed for hard times, daddy.

The Lakers trade is just baaaaaad. Poor asset management. And to willingly put Anthony on that team at this point in time? Palinka or Magic don't have a ****ing clue how to build around LeBron. This chaos is also not anything new to LeBron, it's just the way he operates. Get used to it, Lakers fans, it's just going to continue. I don't see a single young asset that could entice a team to trade a superstar.

The Bucks clearly won the deadline. Mirotic is going to be a stud in Bud's system, and they barely gave up anything to get him.

Really like what Philly is doing too. Harris fits well between Butler and Simmons, while his defense can be covered by Embiid. Also, to be rid of Fultz, who wasn't going to do a damn thing in Philly, was a major win.

Kind of disappointing deadline. Grizz will regret not moving on from Conley. I understand they likely weren't blown away by the offers, but his contract doesn't really provide that much value to the team that trades for him.

                    1. Here you go looking too deep into some likes again.

[emoji2369] it really wasn't THAT serious, hence my lol. I assume people like posts cause either they're funny and/or true or the person agrees with it. Back in the day we had to quote the person and say "yep or lol or whatever" (aged myself there). The Zo thing was funny for sure but the others seemed pretty standard.

I would make sure I watched it if it happened. Dude can barely bring the ball up the court, let alone run an offense.

He wouldn't be a main PG. Lowry + FVV can more than manage playing 48 minutes a game combined. He'd be a 3rd string PG and then borderline 2nd string (probably 3rd) SF/SG behind OG and Powell

You can put him wherever on defense because he's trash no matter what but you outta your mind if you want him to run your offence for anything longer than a possession
