    2018-19 Transaction Thread

    Bruh, this how you really know Thibs is insane. If this is true, Jimmy should have been on the first thing to Houston as soon as 4 first round picks was mentioned. I’m in Thibs’ shoes and the conversation goes;

Morey: How you doing today, Tom? I’m gonna get right down to business today. We really want to get a deal done so we’re upping our offer, starting with 4 first roun....

Me: Done! Jimmy is headed out of the facility right now.

Morey: But I didn’t even finish...

Me: I said done! He’s on his way.

They make that trade, anything short of a championship makes this a failure.

And yes, we can say that even without having to wait 10 years for those picks to pan out. Because you’re making this move with the Warriors in mind for this year and to actually beat them. Not make another Game 7 and lose, but actually beat them especially if they remain healthy.

Shams with the ShamBomb Stepover on Coach Lue.

In all seriousness, I hope he gets another chance somewhere else. Don’t really know if he got a fair shake in this post-Lebron era considering they were never on the same page as far as direction goes. Definitely feels like a panic move 6 games in.

In all seriousness though. I totally do agree with you. After only 6 games. Lue will find another job fast. I'm guessing he'll take this season to hang with the family. And start next of season. The roller coaster of ride he's been in since he stepped in for David. He'll need this break lol.

Not sure I agree with that move.. Lue seems like a great dude to have around, at the very least he should have tons of assistant opportunities.

Like Pack said. 3 straight finals which is damn hard to do. And one win. You get LeBron is the man. But damn for to give him at least 15-20 games.

I'm not THAT surprised that Lue got the shaft but at least give the guy a shot with this roster. It's not like the Cavs are going to be a very good team this year anyways. I do think Lue is a guy better suited to a more veteran team though. I wonder if LeBron will find a way to get Lue to LA in a year or so?

Anyways, hope Lue gets another job. We really don't know for sure how he'd do with a roster that doesn't have LeBron in it.

Despite being in line for a top 3 pick in the 2019 draft Lue might secretly be glad he got fired. You look at their roster and them already being way over the cap for next year with just 9 guaranteed contracts, they're two years out from being able to actually rebuild. Lue should just come join Kurt Rambis with a cushy gig as a Senior Basketball Advisor on the Lakers if he doesn't want to be an in studio guy.

                        Re: 2018-19 Transaction Thread

I dont know why anyone would want to work for the Cavs owner, the guy fired David Griffin, as GM, who was doing a good job, and now you fire Lue who has guided the team to the last 3 final appearances and winning 1 Championship.

Lue deserved better than this, the Cavs probably have the worst constructed roster in the entire NBA, no coach, is going to be able to win with that group of players.

Now how great a coach Lue is, who knows, when you have the best player in the NBA, along with having the luxury of a weak EC, that does give you a advantage in getting to the finals, like he has.
But the way to tell if a guy can truly coach, is if they can take less talent, and be competitive. Lue was never given that chance.
I cant really stand Eric Spoelstra, probably because I cant stand Pat Riley, lol, but Spoelstra is a darn good coach, he hasnt had all that much talent since Lebron left, but while the Heat havent been great, he tends to get them to play competitive

Lue should have been given the season, anyway, to see if he could get that team to atleast compete hard, before firing the guy. After all, your going to be a lottery team, with that roster, and likely will be the worst team in the NBA, regardless of who the coach is.

David Blatt went 30-11 after making the finals and they fired him for Lue.

                          Full circle.

Also, how many fired coaches are they paying at the same time now man..sheesh

Well Lebron is gone now so what other excuse would they have to fire him, 6 Games into a post-Lebron world?

If you knew it was all Lebron, then why not just blow it up as soon as he left?

There’s only one common denominator in all of this but he can’t get fired because he owns the team.

The Suns are in the process of buying out Tyson Chandler and the Lakers are expected to be the front-runners for his services!

YES! He's old but Lakers need a damn backup center!
