While true, it’s a reoccurring theme and getting old to watch lol. Seems like every single Lakers game other than TOR and PHX has come down to the wire. Last night too I guess.

Lakers would be 0-2 this week end against better teams the way they're playing. Coudn't shoot against the king and tonight you let the hawks back into the game in the 4th.

Chandler is turning out to be an amazing pick up though.

C's play like the 2nd half to start the games they will win alot of games but there's gotta be a sense of urgency.

Of course, you dont want to win every game by the skin of your teeth like this, but you gotta take the W's over the moral victorys....could be worse for a team trying to figure themselves out....will help them build character down the road.

You learn very little in a blowout win. Those close ones mean a lot more.

Well you learn that youre dominant. Winning or losing theses close games dont mean a whole lot, couldve gone either way. Just should nt have come down to some individual heroics in the last seconds. Definately happy to have won theses though.

The sky would be falling had the lakers lost both. This time the dices rolled in our favour, thats all.

The only other starter in NBA history that has taken such a large percentage of their shots from 3 point range in any given season was Kyle Korver (last year with the Cavs as well as one of the seasons with Bud in Atlanta).

I dunno about that Vni. After the trades last season we blew the Celtics out in Boston and looked like we were going to stroll through the rest of the regular season. I think most blowouts unless you’re a team like Golden State only happen because one team gets unusually hot and the other team just can’t match it.

Like 24 said though and everybody would agree, you don’t want every game to be that tense, but a W is a W, and I think scraping by in a close win keeps everybody honest. If you beat a team by 30, you might get complacent and put in less effort in the next. Beat a team by 4 and you’ll know you have to be better next time out.

When I say it doesn't mean a whole lot I mean in terms of team progress. It means a lot for the players and the overall chemistry. But I see the same mistakes again and again. And if we played playoffs teams we probably would have lost both games just like we lost close games against playoffs teams at the begining of the season.

And it would be nice if LeGoat made some free throws when it counts too =)

Everyone is right when it comes to their analysis of the Lakers right now. Blowing leads and missing FTs aren't going to get it done against the better teams in the league, but getting as many Ws as possible, no matter how ugly, while trying to figure everything out a must.

Having literally no free throw shooters on the whole team who are automatic, or any 3pt shooters who are locks to hit 40% from downtown for the year, means that there are going to be very few comfortable wins during the entire season. Lakers fans are just going to have to stock up on blood pressure medicine.

Horford in year 12 doesn't have enough seasoning? Kyrie and Morris are in their 8th year and Hayward is in his 9th. I feel like it's more that they don't have a vet with galvanizing personality to pull the team together.
